PEOPLE OR ANIMALS?

 Moring Everyone,

We have a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and for this fortnight we are asking whether you prefer people or animals.

I much prefer to colour animals. They are easier than people and you don't have hair to contend with just fur or spines as in my little hedgehog.  I have made a simple design with my Penny Black hedgie and coloured him with copics.  The sentiment is a die from Gummiapan and grass die from CC Designs.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

You can pop over to the challenge here to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter:

Penny Black Saturday - Anything Goes
Passion for Markers - Birthday card
Critter Crazy - Anything with a Critter
We Love Stamping - Anything Stamped

I hope you will be able to join us and look forward to seeing your entries.  Thank you for visiting and have a good day.

ONE LAYER CARD

Good Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is One Layer or some say No Layer.

I'm not used to doing one layer cards so didn't find it very easy.  I had a few attempts at different ideas, but ended up with an around the edge card with various foliage stamps which were a freebie from a magazine a few years ago. I have coloured them with copics and heat embossed the sentiment in red.

There is a mystery package on offer for the winner of the prize and the challenge ends on 11th April so still plenty of time to enter.

I would like to enter:

Crafty Catz - Go for Green
Creative Knockouts - Add a Sentiment
Rabisco Challenge - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I will be back again tomorrow. Three times in one week, must be a record!

BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

Hello All,

I hope everyone is keeping well.  Monday is usually the day I look after our grandson, but my daughter has this week off so I am on a free day and have taken the opportunity to do some crafting.

I have made this card with some new dies for me from Hero Arts.  The flowers are from 3 separate sets.

The roses and leaves have been cut from pink and green cardstock and shaded with white ink and copics and the rest of the flowers have been cut from white snippets and coloured with copics.

I found a piece of patterned paper in my snippets box which I thought would be suitable for wrapping a bouquet and cut that out with the die in the set and wrapped with twine.  The sentiment has been printed in pink and is from The Greetery.  The background plate is from Reverse Confetti.

I would like to enter this into:

Passion for Markers - Spring Colours
PIP challenge 2311 - Anything Goes
Snippets Playground - Snippets were the wrapper and flowers.

Thank you for visiting and I will be back later in the week.

FAVOURITE EASTER ANIMAL

Morning Everyone,

There's a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and we are asking for you to show us your favourite Easter critters.

It's either chicks or bunnies for me and I've chosen bunnies as they are so soft and cuddly and children love them.

Our sponsor, Last Minute Manda, has kindly provided the DT with images and I have coloured this cute bunny with copics, die cut him with a tag and added little egg shapes from snippets of patterned paper.

I seem to be in a green and yellow phase at the moment, this is my third card in this colour way recently.
You can pop over to the challenge here to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Has anyone else had anything odd going on with their comments just lately.  I've had at least 10 appear in my spam folder and they're all from years ago, as long as 2017,  from legitimate bloggers. I don't know if they were there and have been taken out of my comments or if they never appeared in the first place. Very strange!

Anyway, have a good day and thank you for taking the time to visit.

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Four legged animals
Critter Crazy - Anything Goes with a critter
Get Creative - Bunny Hop
Rabisco - Anything Goes

STENCILS OR FREESTYLE BACKGROUND?

Morning Everyone,

Back again for the start of a new challenge at As You Like It  where we are asking to see your favourite of either stencils or freestyle backgrounds.

Whenever I try to make an inky background I am not always happy with the end result so I hardly ever make them and have gone with a stencil for this challenge.

I have used the Flower Frenzy mini from Crafter's Workshop for my card and used paste through it first and then when it was dry I put the stencil back and inked up with green and yellow inks.  I do like the look of paste through stencils as it adds a bit more dimension.  I've added a few enamel dots and gems for a bit of interest.

I couldn't decide which green mat went best with the colours so layered up with both.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I would like to enter:

Classic Design challenge - Anything Goes
Stencil Fun challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes
Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to visit and have a good day.

When I saw the theme I remembered this image from an old craft magazine and took the opportunity to use it.  I have cut out with a stitched notched corner die, used a pink sheet from a Whimsy stamps pad and used a partially cut die from Memory Box.

There is a stamp set to be won and if you pop over to the challenge here you will be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Although I've had these little mice for a long time, it is their first outing and is from LOTV.  I have coloured with copics, cut them out with a stitched square die and added a LOTV sentiment, a daisy die from MFT and a bit of ribbon to go with the jug.

I would like to enter:

LOVE OR FRIENDSHIP

Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking you to share your favourite of Love or Friendship projects.

I don't make Love cards really, so I have gone with Friendship for this one.  I go out for lunch or coffee quite regularly with three tennis friends, the most recent being yesterday when we went for a lovely lunch at a local pub.

For my card I have used an Art Impressions stamp and coloured it with copics to match the floral paper.  I have heat embossed the sentiment in white and this card will go to one of the friends.  In fact, I might use the stamp for all three of them as they won't see each other's cards.

The challenge is sponsored by:

I hope you will be able to join us and pop over to the challenge here to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I used my Hannah Elements set from Altenew and coloured the flowers with copics.  I added a few little stamps from the set and the 3 dots are enamel dots made with Ranger Enamel Accents.  The sentiment is white embossed from a MFT set.

WILDFLOWERS

 Morning Everyone,

Just before Christmas I bought 2 sets of Tim Holtz Wildflower Stem dies, nos. 1 & 2, in the sale at Seven Hills Crafts and I've just had a chance to play with them. This is my first card:

These are all from the No. 1 set and I have coloured with Zig and Copic markers.  I love the bright colours of the Zigs for the flowers.  The die cut bee is from a Hero Arts set, also coloured with Copics.

I have another card on the go, but not quite finished yet as I need to get on with some DT work.

I would like to enter:

FAVOURITE COLOUR?

 Good Morning All,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking to see projects featuring mainly your single favourite colour.

My favourite colour was blue for years but it has now turned to purple/lilacs.  The colour seems to suit me in clothes and I think it's really pretty whether it be a light or darker shade.

For my card I have used a flower and butterfly from a Simon Says stamps set called Look for the Rainbows.  I have heat embossed them in white and added a bit of shading with white ink.  The frame is from Pinkfresh Studio and the sentiment is from a Penny Black set.

The sponsor for this challenge is:

SNIPPETS

 Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is to use snippets.

I made this little panel of snippets along with this card here and it's been on my desk ever since so I thought it was a good time to use it.  The strips are all from a Doodlebug pad.

I stamped a couple of images from a MFT set called Here Comes Santa Claus and coloured with copics and then cut both panels out with a stitched rectangle and added a band of red card to hide the join.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and heat embossed in red.

I would like to enter:

Snippets Playground - bottom panel used snippets although no photo as made a while ago.
January Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
ABC Christmas - A for Anything Christmas

Although cold here, it looks as though the sun will be shining.  Thank you for visiting and have a good day.

FLORALS

Morning Everyone,

This is a card I have made from snippets for the Snippets Playground.

I think dies are such a good way of using up snippets and this one is from a Spellbinders small die of the month last November, I think.

This is a photo of the snippets used.  It's not always easy for me to take a photo as I don't often plan ahead and decide on the layout as I go along, but there are not a lot of options with this die so I decided on yellow and orange for the flowers before hand.    I cut the larger die again in a darker shade of green to add a bit of shading.

The sentiment is one of my favourite and has been heat embossed in gold.

I would like to enter:

Snippets Playground - use snippets
Classic Design - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Rabisco - Anything Goes
Simon Says Weds - Fabulous Flowers

The sun is shining here today, but still very cold.  Have a good day all and thank you for taking the time to visit.

DELICATE FLOWERS

Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking you to share your favourite reason to send a card, e.g. birthdays, Christmas, friends etc.

My two favourites are Birthdays and Christmas.  With Christmas just gone and having made lots of that type I decided on a birthday card and I also need to build my stock up a bit too.

I have used my Altenew Delicate Flower Bed stamp for this one and stamped in one colour. I must admit that it didn't turn out as I had intended and I had to cut the stamping in half and used my mini scalloped borders to add a bit of a pattern and added a Gummiapan birthday die, covered in glitter, in between. I've also added a few clear gems to some of the flowers.

I would like to enter:

Classic Design - Anything Goes
PIP challenge 2301 - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes

I would like to thank Pam for becoming my latest follower, thank you for taking the time to visit and hope you all have a good weekend.

BIRTHDAY BOY

Morning Everyone,

It is the start of a new challenge over at the Cutie Pies and this month the theme is January Blues, so anything cute with the colour blue.

Luckily I had this card in my drafts so it has come in handy for my DT card.  The image is an old coloured image from LOTV and I've added a large number one and a couple of stars too.  The papers are a bit of a mixture and not sure where they are from.

The challenge will be Just for Fun from now on, but Top 3 favourites will still be chosen.

I would like to enter:

Classic Design - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Add a Sentiment
Double D - Happy Birthday
PIP Challenge 2301 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good week.

SNIPPETS

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are well and back in the swing of things now we are back to normal after Christmas.

I've been looking on Youtube for ideas for using up snippets and found this video here so I decided to have a go and make this card for the Snippets Playground challenge using lots of old LOTV snippets cut into strips.

I didn't emboss my card as in the video and used a piece of vellum with a silver heat embossed sentiment from Whimsy stamps.  I did make an error with one strip in that the roses are all in the centre,  making the strip look nearly all white, but I've added some tiny sequins in pink to add a bit of interest.

I've distressed the edges and also hand stitched around the panel.

I would like to enter:

Snippets Playground - use snippets

I will be back on Monday with a DT card. Have a good weekend and stay safe.

CHRISTMAS KISSES

Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year to you!  Hubby is out at a football match this afternoon so I took the opportunity to finish this card which I started before Christmas and didn't get round to completing.  It will have to be my first one for next Christmas!

This is quite an old Stampavie stamp and I have coloured with copics to match the First Edition papers. I adhered the stitched circle onto a mini scalloped mat in kraft card.  I have two shades of kraft and decided to use the lighter one as it seemed to go better with the paper.  The edger die is from Stampin Up.

It's ages since I've made a card with added flowers, mainly because of postage costs, but this will be going to a close family member so will be hand delivered.

I would like to enter:

Classic Design - Anything Goes
Passion for Markers - Use Die Cuts
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Papercraft Challenge - Decking the Halls
Festive Fridays - Christmas
Outlawz - Anything Goes

We took our Christmas tree and decorations down yesterday.  I must say the house looks a lot tidier when they're down.  Must go and take the dogs a little walk now.  Have a good week everyone.
