COOL OR WARM COLOURS?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and this week we are asking you to share a project using your favourite cool or warm colours.

Blue has been my favourite colour for as long as I can remember and more latterly I have a fondness for purples/lilacs so checking with colour charts I must be a cool colour person.  I do love to see flowers in these colours too rather than the normal red, pinks, yellows etc.

For my card I have used flowers from a Clearly Besotted set bought when in the sale.  They are coloured with copics and fussy cut to place on the linen effect card which has been cut with a stitched square die and a Penny Black border edger die.  I have coloured a piece of thinnish computer paper with two Distress Oxides to match the flowers and heat embossed the sentiment.

I hope you can join in this fortnight where the sponsor is:

with a voucher for the lucky winner.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Elliebelle's Crafty Wednesday - Use Something Old or New (new stamp)
Creative Craft Cottage - Anything Goes
Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds. - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments left for my last card, they are much appreciated.

ROBIN REDBREAST

Hello Everyone,

I nearly forgot about the Rudolph Days challenge this month and have made this card with that and a few other challenges in mind.

I have used an old stamp from the Christmas Visitors set by Sheen Douglass and coloured it with copics.  This card has turned out totally different to what I originally intended, but I think that quite often happens when you're not happy with how it looks.

I've used a Tattered lace rectangle for the mat and the same pattern for the sentiment.  The blue paper is a snippet of a free paper from a magazine and the embellishments are clear gems, two snowflakes stuck together and also two trips of white ribbon, one plain satis and a sparkly one on top.  I've also used liquid pearls for a bit of embellishment to the white area.

I would like to enter:

January Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Allsorts - Take Flight
Pixie's Snippets Playground - snippets used were the blue paper, die cut mat, sentiment and snowflakes.
Creative Inspirations - Something Old (stamp)

Thank you for visiting and I will be back tomorrow with a DT card.

AYLI DT - ANYTHING GOES

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well.  It is time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and this time the theme is "Anything Goes" so a nice and easy one.

The card is about 6.5 inches square and I have chosen another new (to me) stamp set bought from a Facebook group and this is a Simon Says Stamp set call Party Like a Panda.  I love these cute pandas.  I have coloured with copics and used various stamps from the set, of which there are quite a few.  The two pieces of striped paper are snippets as is the sentiment, which has been reinforced with white card underneath as the lilac card was quite flimsy. I've used matching lilac and black card for the mats and added a few sequins.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

with a voucher for the lucky winner

If you would like to see the inspiration from the DT you can pop over here.

I would like to enter:

2 Crafty Critter Crazies - Anything Goes

COZY WISHES

Good Morning Everyone,

When I won the Stamping Sensations challenge in November Brenda kindly asked if I would like to be a Guest DT for the new challenge which starts today.  The theme is "Favourite Stamps".

I don't know about anyone else, but often my favourite stamp is my most recent and that is why I chose to use this one from  Pinkfresh Studio called Cozy Christmas Wishes.  I bought it just before Christmas from a lady on Facebook and I've been wanting to use it ever since, but haven't had the time.

I've heat embossed it in silver onto very pale grey card and coloured it with copics.  Silver mirri and green cardstock were used for the mats and a dotty ribbon to finish it off.  I will probably try it on different coloured papers in the future to give it a different look.

I would like to enter:

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Something New (stamp)
Creative Inspirations - Something New (stamp)
ABC Christmas - Anything Goes
Crafty Friends - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

RECYCLING AGAIN

Good Afternoon All,

Happy New Year! I hope you've had a good Christmas and are not suffering from any after effects from festivities last night.  We had a quiet night in after a fairly busy day.

I am here to share my snippets makes for the latest Grand Draw so generously given by Di from Pixie's Crafty Workshop every year.

When we were fetching the Christmas tree etc out of the loft my hubby found an old bottle bag which had been left up there.  The main part of the bag had totally discoloured but my little eagle eye spotted some small squares on it which still looked ok so I thought I would make them into a card before I ended up losing them.

There were in fact 9 small squares but as you can see I decided to make 2 small CAS cards. The small A6 card used snippets of red glitter card and a snippet of hammered cardstock.  I heat embossed the sentiment and added 3 little red sparklies.

The square card is only 5" and the piece of red glitter card is an offcut from the other one as I'd cut the square too big so I used a die and created a small frame for the second card. The silver square is also a snippet.  I didn't want to risk messing up embossing the sentiment direct to the card itself so this one is printed with silver metallic ink.  That's 2 to start my pile off for next Christmas :) .

I would like to enter:

Pixie's Snippets Playground  #368 - Use snippets
ABC Christmas Challenge - A for Anything Goes
Dream Valley - Christmas
Christmas Crafts All Year Round - Anything Christmas

Thank you for visiting and I will be back tomorrow with a DT card.

P.S. The square on the first card looks wonky in the photo, but I can assure you it's not :)
