CATS OR DOGS?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking whether you prefer cats or dogs.

It's definitely dogs for me.  I've never owned a cat but have had dogs.  I just love how loving and loyal they are and how they come and cuddle up on the sofa at night.   It's heartbreaking when they go though.  We lost one of ours earlier this year and I still miss him a lot.

For my card I have used this old Bugaboo image called Party Pups.  I have coloureed them with copics and used a streamers die from The Greetery and sentiment die from Lawn Fawn. The streamers, sentiment and the orange striped paper were all from snippets to match the colours on the pups.

I hope you can join us and all the fab inspiration from the rest of the DT can be seen here.

I would like to enter:

PIP challenge #2429 - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Snippets Playground - Snippets used were the streamers, sentiment and organe striped paper.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and have a good weekend when it gets here.  We're going to a barbeque on Sunday so hoping it doesn't rain.

See you soon,

MONSTER PARTY

 Morning Everyone,

When I was searching through my digi images for something last week I came across this Bugaboo image and thought it would be a fun image to colour.

I had a look through my mountains of papers and found some brightly coloured pieces and so coloured my monsters with copics to match.  They were cut out with a notched square die and matted with black and then I had this mad idea to get my sewing machine out and use that around the edges.  Normally when I want stitches I sew by hand, but I fancied having a go at zig zag stitch across the joins of the papers.  I hadn't even used my machine for zig zag before so had to have a practice on some scrap.  They worked really well so I was quite pleased for a first attempt.  My straight stitching went a bit wonky though, especially when I reached the corners, but they don't look too bad.

I finished it off with a few enamel dots, a stitched banner die for the sentiment and a Sending die from SSStamp.

Typing this on Sunday night after watching Emma Raducanu get beat in the tennis, which was a bit disappointing as she had played so well up to now.

Thank you for visiting and I will be back later in the week.

JUST BEE-CAUSE...

Good Morning Everyone,

I've made this card after seeing a sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.  I've used the Cute Bugaboo Bee  01 from Bugaboo and coloured with copics.

I've used a snippet of yellow paper for the top and black card for the mats.  I've added sparkle to the wings with a sparkle pen and a stitched yellow ribbon in a double bow.  This is the sketch:

CWTC DT - ANYTHING GOES/CAS

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for the first challenge of the year over at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is Anything Goes with the option of Clean and Simple.

I have gone for the CAS option and used part of the Christmas Trio Block kindly supplied by the sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.  I have coloured 2 of the squares with copics and fussy cut them out.  I die cut a piece of hammered card with a stitched rectangle to fit a small A6 card and adhered the two squares to it.  The sentiment is a scrap of ribbon which came as a free sample from a ribbon order so I didn't need to do anything with it apart from attach it with double sided tape.  As I said, a simple card and quite clean for me too.

I hope you will be able to join in with the challenge and there's a voucher for the lucky winner from the sponsors:

I would like to enter:

Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Add a Sentiment
Dream Valley - Hand coloured image
Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, it is much appreciated.

Have a good week,

MAKE US LAUGH

Good Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new month which means the start of a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas challenge.  The theme this month is "Make Us Laugh".  I must say I did ponder over this for quite a while, not sure of what to do, but eventually came up with this little doggie from Bugaboo.

I've made another small card and coloured him with copics and used a snippet of snowflake paper from my Christmas scraps box.  Gold card for the mat, die cut snowflakes, glitter on his hat, liquid pearls and gold sparklies were also added.  The sentiment comes with the image.

Not long to go now. I usually start my Christmas shopping middle to end of October as have quite a bit to do. It's not a job I enjoy really, but at least I'm not rushing it all at the end.

I hope you will be able to join in this month.  The challenge is just for fun, no sponsors.

I would like to enter:

Simons Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Use your favourite embellishments (sparkly gems and glitter)
Creatalicious #172 - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday Wk 40 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good week.

CWTCUTIES DT - SNOWMEN

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good Bank Holiday weekend.  We had a day of rain here yesterday, we went for our dog walk in the morning as the forecast stated rain at noon, but it came early and we were soaked!

It's time for another challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme this time is Snowmen.

We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps for this challenge and they have kindly provided the team with images.  I used the snowman blocks for my red and white card.  I've cut the blocks separately and searched in my red folder for scraps of card to mat them on.  It's amazing how many different shades of one colour you can get.  These little squares have been coloured with copics and stuck to a white stitched square of hammered white paper which matches the card.  The red outer die I think is a Spellbinders, also using a snippet from my folder.  I've also added liquid pearls, glitter and little pom poms to their hats.

I hope you can join us for this challenge and there will be a prize for the lucky winner from the sponsors.

You can pop over to the challenge here to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

August Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Pixie's Snippets Playground #333 - snippets used - all the red card and white square
Crafty Creations #373 - Anything Goes
Creative Craft Cottage - No patterned paper

Thank you for visiting and I hope the sun is shining where ever you are.

Christmas with the Cuties DT - Bingo

Good morning everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  Yesterday was a lovely sunny day here so let's hope it's a sign of things to come.

It's time for a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme for this one is Bingo.

This is the Bingo grid and I've chosen straight down the middle for my card - Blue, Cute Christmas Image and Green.  I did actually buy some gingham card specially for it, but when I started making the card up it didn't look right to me so I went for a different line.

The sponsor for the challenge is Bugaboo stamps who have kindly provided the team with images and mine is "Christmas Mice - Sign It". I've coloured them with copics and heat embossed the sentiment from LOTV in silver.  The paper is from The Works and I've added Wink of Stella to the silver parts of the baubles and blue ribbon and green enamel dots to match the baubles.

It's a fairly simple make but I like how it's turned out and will probably try it again in a different colour way.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Rudolph Days March challenge - Anything Christmas
Hiding in My Craft Room - Any Holiday
ABC Christmas - E for Embossing (sentiment)
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet Stamps - Anything Goes
Colour Crazy Challenge Wk12 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I appreciate any comments you may wish to leave.

Have a good week,

Lynne x

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES DT - RED AND GREEN

Morning Everyone

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and this month the theme is "Red and Green" so we'd love to see your creations in those colours as long as they are cute and christmassy.

We are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps who have kindly supplied the team with images and this is my card:

I coloured the image with copics, added glossy accents to their noses and used stitched hillside borders across the middle of the card. I struggled not to put any embellishments on as this isn't my normal style, but even though I tried nothing seemed to look right so I left it as it was.

It would be nice if you could pop over to the challenge here and see what the rest of the team have come up with.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

CHNC Challenge 326 - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations 271 - Anything Goes
CHNC Challenge Extra - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments.
