FEBRUARY RUDOLPH DAYS

Morning Everyone,

When I made a previous card here it wasn't my first attempt at embossing the images.  My first try didn't turn out too well so I trimmed the bad parts and made it into a smaller card.  Can't let the good bits go to waste!

The images are from a Simon Says stamp set and I've added shading with copics to some of the baubles for extra interest.  The sentiment is from LOTV and red and gold sequins give it a bit of sparkle.

I would like to enter:

Feb Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes
Sparkles - Use some gold

Thank you for visiting and have a good week.

BUTTERFLIES R US

 Morning Everyone,

I am sharing a card made with a Penny Black stamp called Social Butterfly.  I've had this set for ages and never used it so thought it had better have an outing.

I used a cloud stencil with my favourite Stampin Up blue and stamped the butterflies where I wanted them to be.  Then I stamped them again onto watercolour card, coloured with my Zig markers and fussy cut them out.  As I'd already stamped them I didn't need to cut round the antennae, which is a good job as fussy cutting isn't my favourite thing to do, especially around fiddly bits.  They were then glued in place and the sentiment, which is from LOTV, added with foam tape.

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Hand coloured or paper pieced image
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes with Option wings or tails
Passion for Markers - things with wings
Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes
Penny Black Saturday - Anything Goes
We Love Stamping - Stamping and stencils
Rabisco challenge - Anything Goes

I hope you have a good weekend. It looks as though it may be a sunny one here so I might be able to do a bit of clearing up in the garden.  Whatever you may be doing, thank you for visiting and have a good one.

BLUE & SILVER

Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is "Blue & Silver".

For my DT card I have used a Gina K Holiday Tapestry stamp set heat embossed in silver onto pale blue card. It's quite a large stamp so I've heat embossed in both corners and added the sentiment, also from the same set, in the centre.  Nothing much else needed, just two mats in silver mirror and blue.

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - I love .... heat embossing and Christmas cards
Christmas Kickstart - Sentiment takes Centre stage
Allys Angels - Anything Goes
We Love Stamping - Anything Stamped

Look forward to seeing your entries, there are 13 days left to have a go.

See you soon,

FAVOURITE OCCASION AT AYLI

 Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and we as asking what your favourite occasion is to make a card for.

I like to make cards for any occasion, but Christmas has to be a favourite as I tend to make them all year round so have plenty on stock when the time comes and I also like adding sparkly bits like glitter.

I have another card made with my SSS Winter Scene.  The sky is coloured with Stampin Up Bashful Blue and I've used a stencil for the snow. There is a border around the rectangle, but when I stamped it it looked too dark and didn't look right so I cut that off and added the little elements which have been coloured with copics and cut with their dies.  The bottom layer has also been inked around the edges with the blue as I didn't have any paper in the right colour. The sentiment has been heat embossed in silver.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I am entering this into:

ABC Christmas - C for CAS
Snippets Playground - Snippets used were everything except the two main layers

I hope everyone here in the UK has survived the recent storm without any damage, only a power cut for us, but it didn't last long.

Thank you for visiting and have a good day.

HEARTS & FLOWERS

 Good Morning Everyone,

It's Valentines Day and our new theme over at the Cutie Pie Challenge is Hearts and Flowers and we are looking for Valentines or Mothers Day cards.

When I was searching for something suitable for my card I came across this little pre-coloured fella from an old LOTV art pad.  I thought he would be suitable for either type of card so added LOTV paper and sentiment with 2 little red hearts added.  A very simple card, but I like it as the image is quite big so it didn't really need anything else.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I would like to enter:

Colorful Options - Rosey Red
Critter Crazy Challenge - Anything with a Critter
Lets Craft and Create - From the Heart

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good week.

WINTER SCENE

Hello Everyone,

This is a very CAS card for me, but I'm trying to make my Christmas cards more this style, well the posting ones anyway! I do still struggle with the white bits though!

I have used a set from Simon Says Stamp called Winter Scene, coloured the little images with copics and cut them out with their respective dies.  The sentiment, also from the set,  was stamped onto a snippet of red and heat embossed in white.

I would like to enter:

CAS Christmas challenge -  Winter Scene
CRAFT - Winter
ABC Christmas - C for Clean and Simple

A quiet day for me today, just need to go and walk the dogs before sorting the evening meal.  Hope you're having a good one and thank you for visiting.

CRYSTAL ANNIVERSARY

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It  and we are asking you to showcase a project of your favourite between True Love or Fabulous Friendships.

I love to make cards for special occasions such as Weddings or Anniversaries so mine must be True Love. I always chose nice cards for friends too,  but it's usually one from my card box.

This card is for a Crystal Anniversary (15 years) so I have used some of my favourite papers, added flowers and also hidden a few crystal embellishments in between the flowers.  The card is cut with a Spellbinders die, hand stitched around the edges,  and the heart die is from Joy crafts. I do love this die, but hardly ever use it.  I've heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum and added some tiny dragonflies and a white butterfly.

The sponsor for this challenge is:

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Anything Goes
Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Clever Dexter - Favourite Technique (die cutting)
Country View Challenge - Hearts and flowers
Simon Says Weds - With love

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good day.
