FAVOURITE COLOURING MEDIUM?

Morning Everyone,

We have a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and we are asking you to share projects using your favourite colouring medium and to be a prize winner you must say why it's your favourite.

Mine is copic markers.  I have used them since I started making cards am more experienced with them and I love how they blend so well.  I do have a go with Zig markers now and then, but mainly for florals.

For my card I have used the Waffle Flower postage die and added my Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamp set.  The deer, tree and presents have been coloured with copics, die cut and added onto the little squares which I've inked with blue ink.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I hope you can join us and your can see the inspiration from the rest of the DT here.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  It's going to be another scorcher today here in the UK so I hope you manage to keep cool whatever you are doing.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS ANIMAL?

 Hello Everyone,

A new challenge starts at As You Like It today and we are asking you to share your favourite Christmas critter.

I have chosen Reindeer, especially one with a red nose, as it wouldn't be Christmas without Rudolph would it?

For my card I have used a MFT sentiment die and added reindeer from Mama Elephant, which have been stamped, coloured with copics and die cut.  The two little ornaments and bird are also from the same set.  I used a snippet of striped paper and it was a tad short for the 5"x7" card so the card had to be cut down slightly for it to look right.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I would like to enter:

PIP Challenge 2345 - Anything Goes
Double D challenge - Stripes and/or dots
Stamping Sensations - Get Ready for Christmas

CWTCUTIES DT - TAG IT

Good Morning All,

I hope you are having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend those of you in the UK.

It is time for a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme this time is Tag It, so there must be a tag somewhere on your cute Christmas project please.

I have used one of my favourite Mama Elephant reindeers from Reindeer Games stamp set, coloured him with copics,  and attached him to a white stitched tag with foam tape.  This card is only 5" square and I have used papers from a small Wild Rose freebie paper pad, which must have come with a magazine. The merry die is from Concorde & 9th from Seven Hills Crafts and I have layered it with gold mirri card and heat  embossed the little Christmas word in gold.  Two pieces of red ribbon and three little pearls finish it off.

I would like to enter:

Rudolph Days May challenge
Pixie's Snippets Playground  #353 - all the gold mirri pieces and the red sentiments were snippets

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS DT - KRAFTY CHRISTMAS

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy 1st of the month.  I can't believe it's August already!

It is time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas challenge and this month we would like to see any christmas projects using kraft card.  I have used kraft for the base layer of my card and also the Sizzix Noel die.   I have lathered the Noel with a sparkle pen so it is quite glittery in real life.

I had these 3 little Mama Elephant reindeers coloured on my desk for ages and thought this was a good opportunity to use them.  I stamped the holly out from another set and coloured it up, fussy cut and added 3 tiny pearls for the berries. The holly paper is from a First Edition christmas pad and three more red pearls complete the card.

I hope you can join us this month and if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Dream Valley challenge - Christmas in July
Rudolph Days - Late July challenge
Hiding in My Craft Room - Christmas in July
Creatalicious - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will be able to leave a comment.

Have a good week .

SMALL AND QUICK

Morning Everyone

I hope you've had a good weekend.

I have a little card to share with you today and I do mean little.  It is just over 4 inches, and was super quick to make.  I might do a few more like this.

I had another play with my Reindeer Games stamp set.  I think these reindeer are so cute!  I coloured this little one up and added 2 of the extras you get with the set.  I die cut them out and stuck them onto the stitched circle.

I matted him onto a scrap of red card and then searched through my christmas oddments to find a suitable piece for the the stitched banner from Creative Expressions.

I embossed my fave Merry Christmas sentiment in silver, added glossy accents to his nose and that's it!

I hope you like.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - Q for quick
Addicted to Stamps & More - Holiday
Crafty Friends - Christmas in July
Pixie's Snippets Playground - 293/4
Sir Stampalot - Anything Goes
The Crafty Addicts - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments, they are much appreciated.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Morning Everyone,

Apologies for this being a Christmas card when we're having such warm weather here at the moment, but I bought these Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamps and wanted to have a play with them straight away.  I wanted to buy them last year, but left it too late so I thought I'd buy them early this time.

I coloured the reindeer with copics and die cut them with their little dies (which I also treated myself to) and then inked the background with three blue distress inks.  I used a white gel pen for the snow and the cottage die is from Wild Rose Studio.  These were layered under an aperture using an inside/outside stitched circle die. The little reindeer were stuck down and the LOTV sentiment stamped in metallic silver.

You will probably be seeing more of these little fellas in the next few months :).

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - N for new (stamps and dies)
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything Goes
Inky Chicks - Christmas
Dies R Us - Layers (dies used - Reindeers, Cottage and stitched circle)
HLS Christmas - Anything Goes/Use Die Cuts
CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge -Anything Goes
Ribbon Girls - Any card

I hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you for visiting. I do love reading your comments.

Very Pink

Hi Everyone

It's been three weeks since my last post, but normal everyday life seems to be getting in the way of crafting!  I don't know how some of you ladies manage to post so often even when you have a full time job.

Anyway, when I saw the lovely picture of decorated cupcakes at In the Pink I thought it would give me an excuse to use my Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes set which hasn't been out of the packet yet.

I stamped the cupcake bases with a pearlescent ink and the tops with Memento London Fog so it didn't look so harsh.  All colouring was done with Copics and then the cupcakes were glittered, the cherry had a glossy accents job and the yellow bows given the wink of stella treatment.  I had a problem of where to put the sentiment that goes with the Carnival toppers stamp set as it didn't seem to fit anywhere so I stamped a smaller one onto vellum and placed it at the top.  I normally like a few more embellishments, but with so much pink about I thought I'd leave it as is.

Hope you like.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

In the Pink - Cupcakes
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Use Patterned Papers
Stamping Sensations - Feature a Creature
The Ribbon Girl - Anything Goes
