OWL POST

Good Morning Everyone,

I made this card with the April Rudolph Days challenge in mind.  It is called Owl Post by Whimsy stamps.

I had a change of mind about it after I'd taken photos as it was originally a small A6 card without a red border round the outer edge, but I thought it looked too plain, so I cut the original card off at the crease and stuck it all onto a red card blank.  I definitely think it looks better, but still not totally happy with it.

I've coloured the image with copics and added glitter to the snow and his hat.  The sentiment also has a glittery edge.

Just a quick post from me this time, but will be back on Tuesday.

Challenges I would like to enter:

April Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Fab n Funky - Christmas
Whimsy stamps - Anything Goes
Crafting by Designs - Get Ready for Christmas

Thank you for visiting and if you have time to leave a comment it is much appreciated.

See you soon,

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE ANIMAL

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for another challenge at As You Like It and the theme for this fortnight is to showcase a project showing your favourite animal (and don't forget to tell us why please).

I love most animals, but because we have two of them, I am going to say dogs.  They are so loving and loyal and it's great to see them enjoying themselves on a long walk and cooling off with a swim.  I must say though they do cause some work in the house (when I could be crafting!) with dog hairs, dust etc.

For my cards I've used the cute stamp called Dogs in Pots from Wild Rose Studio.  I've coloured as usual with copics and I've used a rectangular die from Go Create to make the card.  The paper is from from LOTV and I've added natural twine and a little flower to finish.  The sentiment I think is from Kaisercraft.

The sponsor for the challenge is

Christmas with the Cuties DT - Let It Snow

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme for this one is "Let It Snow" so we would like to see your cute Christmas projects with that in mind.

The sponsors of the challenge are Pink Gem Designs who have kindly provided the team with images and mine is Funky Snowman.  For my design I sponged blue and lilac inks onto a scrap of card and attached it to the back of my die cut and embossed top layer.   I've coloured the snowman with copics, fussy cut him out and attached him with tape.  The snow effect was created with a stencil, texture paste and glitter and the sentiment is from LOTV.

I hope you will be able to join us in the challenge and if you'd like to pop over here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

Challenges I would like to enter are:

UNICORN LOVE

Morning Everyone,

What lovely weather we are having at last.  I've been gardening trying to get all the weeds out before they get too large.

My card today is one I've made with the cute Stamping Bella Unicorns.  I've had them for a while and this is their first trip out.

I've coloured them, the rainbow and a scrap of paper for the "Sending" die with copics and fussy cut them out and also used Lawn Fawn puffy clouds border.  The rainbow is from a set from Little Miss Muffet called Groovy Doodles and the inked clouds are made with a stencil with blue ink from Stampin Up.  I've glittered their little horns and wings and also used a glitter pen on the hearts.

I am entering this into Pixie's Snippets Playground and the snippets used are white card for the unicorns, rainbow and the sending die and also red card for the hearts.

Challenges I would like to enter are:

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Use snippets
Southern Girls - F for Fantasy
Simons Says Weds - Sparkle and Shine
Tuesday Throwdown - Glimmer and Shine
Though The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet #187 - Anything Goes

Have a lovely weekend and thank you for visiting. I do love to read your comments, they are much appreciated.

AYLI DT - YOUR FAVOURITE COLOURING MEDIUM

Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight we would like to see projects using your favourite colouring medium (and don't forget to tell us why please).

This is the second baby card I made for my daughter, but I think she liked the round shape of the last one best, so this didn't get picked.  It's a digital image from Papernest Dolls which I've coloured with Copic markers.  They are my favourite way to colour at the moment as they are the pens I started with and are most familiar with.  I did get a new set of polychromos pencils for Christmas, but only had a few dabbles with them so far.

I did actually make a boo boo with this card.  I won't go into full details apart from I've been trying some new glue and it just gets all over the place!  Anyway, the heart and the congratulations sentiment aren't where they were originally intended.

The paper I've used is a retired pad from LOTV and the doily rectangle die is from Tattered Lace.

If you would like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the team.

PAPER PIECED FLOWERS

Morning Everyone,

I saw this card on Pinterest a while ago and thought it would be a good way of using up scraps so I thought I'd have a go with my favourite colour combination of lilac and mint green and this is what I came up with.

I'm quite pleased as I've used 2 stamp sets I've had for ages and never used! They are Inkadinkado flourishes and Dreamees stitched flowers.  I stamped the flourishes in silver metallic and then stamped a few random flowers and leaves onto the scraps and fussy cut them out.  I've used vellum for the Kaisercraft sentiment and added a few enamel dots too.

Hubby went to Wembley yesterday to watch Lincoln City play in a football final so I had a luxury day of crafting and doing whatever I pleased, but I had to add dog walking in and a bit of ironing too.

I would like to thank Wendy for becoming my latest follower and hope she enjoys seeing my makes.

Challenges for this card are:

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Use Snippets
Simons Says Stamp Weds - Happy Birthday
Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap - April Showers Bring May Flowers
Sir Stampalot - One for the Girls
Southern Girls - Favourite Colour Combo (lilac and mint green)
The Crafty Addicts #47 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love it if you can leave a comment.

Have a good week,

NEW BABY

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well. As I am typing this (Wednesday) it is raining and has been a wet and miserable day, but I think Thursday is supposed to be better.

My daughter asked me to make her a new baby girl card for a friend due in April so I made 2 and this is the one she chose.

I've used a clear stamp set which I won recently from Digistamp boutique. I coloured the cute image with copics and for the card base have used my Tattered Lace Essential Doily Dies.  The largest one is a good 5.5" so it's not much smaller than my usual 6" square cards and the edges are so pretty.  The sentiment came with the stamp and I've used silver metallic for this as black looked too harsh.  The papers are a mixture and I've added narrow white ribbon and a little flower.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Allsorts - New Beginnings
CCC Digi Creations - Include an animal
Creative Moments 140 - Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper Crafty 374 - Anything Goes
That's Crafty - Going round in Circles
The Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I do love it when you leave a comment, they are much appreciated.

Have a good weekend,

Sparkles Christmas DT - Feature a Creature

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good Easter weekend.  As it's the 1st of the month it is time for another challenge over at Sparkles Forum Christmas challenge.  The theme for this month is "Feature a Creature" as long as it's Christmas related.

I have chosen to use a pre-printed LOTV image.  I bought quite a few of these when I first started making cards so try and make one every now and then to use them up.   I've also used a scrap of white card which I'd die cut for something else and changed my mind, some LOTV paper, all matted onto navy card and a die cut snowflake, navy ribbon and pearls to pretty it up.

I hope you can join us for the challenge and if you'd like to pop over here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - Animals
The Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles wk 13 - Anything Goes
Simons Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
2 Crafty Critter Crazies - Anything Critter Goes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have time to leave a comment, they are much appreciated.
