FAVOURITE WAY TO ADD RIBBON?

 Good Morning Everyone,

As you can see from the title our new theme at As You Like It involves ribbon.  We would like you to show us your favourite way of adding ribbon to your projects.

This is a card for my daughter's birthday and I have used a Conie Fong image and coloured her with copics.  I've inked the edges of the papers with Antique Linen DI and also hand stitched.

I don't use ribbon as much as I used to but when I do a favourite way is to attach a piece around part of the card and then add a separate bow.  I'm not very good with bow makers so usually make a bow by wrapping around my fingers.

Little tags from Mama Elephant, a few flowers and pearls finish it off.

 Good Morning Everyone,

This is my first post as a member of the Christmas Craft Creations DT and is a reminder about the August challenge which is all about Animals.

For my card I have used an Oddball reindeer from Stamping Bella.  I've had this stamp set for ages and it's the first time being inked.  I have coloured him with copics and used a sentiment from a Paper Smooches set.  The papers are from a Doodlebug Christmas paper pad.

I would like to enter:

Thank you for visiting and I will be back tomorrow.

MAGAZINE FREEBIE

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good weekend.  I thought I would share this card with an image which was a magazine freebie first spotted on Jules' lovely card here. I wanted to start making more floral cards and thought it would be perfect.

I have embossed it in gold and coloured with Zig clean colour brush markers.  The red paper, which has faint hearts all over, is from a doodlebug pad and I have cut the image with a shaped mini scalloped die  from MFT.  The sentiment is from LOTV.

I would like to enter this into:

Cupcake Inspirations - 500th Birthday celebrations
Cute Card Thursday - Embossing
Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Penny Black & More - Say it with Flowers

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  The winds have died down today so a lot more pleasant here and luckily no damage done.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I will be back later in the week.

I have used a cute image from Lee Holland who is the sponsor of the challenge,  coloured him with copics and fussy cut him out. He has then been added to my card in front of a CC Designs grass die and a MFT birthday die, which I have cut with a snippet of yellow paper.

PINK AND ? AT AS YOU LIKE IT

Good Morning Everyone,

I am back with my DT card for the next challenge at As You Like It where we would like to see your favourite colour to go with Pink.

I have chosen grey.  I think it looks so pretty and elegant and for my card I have used a floral image from The Ton called Sweet Bouquet and heat embossed it in silver.  I have coloured it in various shades of pink and grey with my Zig clean colour brush pens, fussy cut it out and then added it to the Watercolour stripes die from Altenew.  This is a rectangular die but is just the right height for a 6" square card so I managed to extend it widthways to fit the square.

Grey and pink papers were used underneath and I heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum in silver.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

with a lovely prize for the lucky winner.

It's been way too hot again here and this morning hubby went down extra early (6.30)to let the dogs out so he could get them ready for a walk. We have a little water feature in the garden as he walked passed he saw a baby hedgehog floundering in the water!  He said he only had his little snout out of the water and he could see his little legs paddling away.  He could have been in there for hours and hubby said he looked exhausted.  It was lucky he went outside early or I think we may have had a little body in the pond.

Anyway, this is him after he'd had some cat food and a little rest.

CUTE & CUDDLY BUNNIES

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post to share this card made with a cute Di's Digi image.

I've coloured the image with copics and used papers from a free pack that came with a magazine.  I've also added a doily, yellow ribbon and a pre-printed sentiment from Craftwork cards.  The sentiment
hasn't come out very well in the photo. I think it must have been too sunny at the time.

I would like to enter:

Thank you for visiting and I love it when you leave a comment, it is much appreciated.

HEART OF FLOWERS

Good Morning All,

I have made another card from a sketch shown below.

I cut flowers with my MFT stitched blooms dies from snippets of pink and yellow papers and attached them to a heart shape to follow the sketch.  This was glued to a piece of linen card cut with a stitched rectangle and the banners were also snippets with a sentiment from LOTV embossed in silver.

FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS

Good Morning Everyone,

A new month so a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and the theme is "From Our Home to Yours".

For my DT card I have used Distress Oxides for the sky masking off for the moon. I have stamped, coloured and fussy cut two houses from a Stampin Up set called Holiday Home and I've torn scraps of hammered cardstock for the snowy ground and also coloured and fussy cut a tree from a LOTV set.  The sleigh stamp and sentiment are also from the same Stampin Up set. I've added glitter to the torn edges of the snow, but it's not very easy to see.

I hope those of you here in the UK managed to keep cool yesterday on the hottest day of the year.  We had a thunderstorm last night so that cooled things down a bit for us.

I would like to enter:

Creatalicious 192 - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Hip to be square

Dream Valley - Christmas in July

Have a lovely weekend,
