PEARLS OR GEMS

Morning Everyone,

Back again for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It where we are asking whether you prefer to use pearls or gems on your projects.

I definitely prefer pearls, especially with this type of card.  They come in a multitude of colours and always look so elegant.

For my card I've used two wreath dies, both from Memory Box and added them to an odd 6" x 6" sheet of paper found in my drawer.  I haven't used any flowers for a long time so decided to go with this type of card, distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz tool and hand stitched all around.  I've put a plain piece of paper in the centre and heat embossed the sentiment.

Pale green pearls, twine and two little dragonflies have been added too.

GLITTER & SPARKLE

 Good Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is 'Glitter & Sparkle'.

I have used a tree die from Waffle Flower which I managed to buy second hand and have used snippets of glitter card cut into smaller strips and added to the back of the die.  A piece of gold glitter card for the star and sparkly gems finish the card off.  I couldn't decide where to put a sentiment so in the end left it without one.

A very quick and simple card to make.  My mojo seems to have gone awol just lately and I can't seem to get going so have just been making DT cards at the moment.

Still plenty of time to enter as the challenge is open until Tuesday, 13th Feb.

I would like to enter:

ABC Christmas - A for Anything Christmas
Christmas Kickstart - the Midas Touch
Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes
Rabisco - Anything Goes
Double D - Sparkle and/or Shine
Snippets Playground - All the glitter pieces were snippets

Thank you for your visit and Iwill be back tomorrow.

FAVOURITE PAPER BRAND

 Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of our first challenge for 2024 over at As You Like It and we are asking you to lshare a project featuring your favourite paper brand and you must say why it's your favourite.

I do like many brands, but for this card I have used My Favorite Things paper.  I like their small prints and this was ideal for the sneakers from my new Woodware stamp.  I have paper pieced the sneakers with a star pattern, although it looks like dots on the photo, coloured the laces with white copic paint and shaded the white bottoms with copics.  All the papers are from the same pad and I've changed them about a bit so the candles are on top at the bottom of the card and the balloons on top at the top (if you get what I mean).

The sponsor for the challenge is:

with a voucher for the lucky winner.

I would like to enter:

PIP challenge 2401 - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes
Rabisco challenge - Anything Goes
We Love Stamping - Something New (sneakers stamp)
Allsorts - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you can pop over to the challenge to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

SNIPPETS CARD

 Hello Everyone,

I'm running in with a last minute snippets card for the Snippets Playground where the theme is for  'Anything BUT Christmas' so I decided to make a birthday card with my NBUS Spellbinder dies called Club Blooms.

All the flowers, leaves and white part of the card are from snippets.  I do love using dies to try and use up some of my many snippets, but the trouble is the pile never seems to go down much! This is my little pile of snippets, some before cutting some after.

I would like to enter:

Snippets Playground - Anything but Christmas
Penny's Paper Crafty #562 - Anything Goes
Paper Funday - Anything Goes/let's Celebrate
Beautiful Blossoms - Anything with Flowers

Thank you for visiting and have a good weekend.
