FAVE SHAPE/FOLD

Good Morning Everyone,

I can't believe it's 2 weeks since my last post! Time has just flown by.

I have made a card for our new challenge at As You Like It where for the next fortnight we would like to see a project made with your favourite shape or fold.

I love this Go Kreate shape, although I don't make it often enough.  I love the curves and it makes a card a bit more special I think without being too fussy.

I have coloured this sweet Stamping Bella stamp with copics and added glitter to her wings.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little labels are Mama Elephant.  The papers are an old LOTV pad called Romance and Roses which I think you can buy digitally from Nitwit collections.

PEARLS OR BUTTONS AT AYLI

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm back with my DT card for our next challenge over at As You Like It and this time we would like you to showcase a project using your favourite of either Pearls or Buttons (and don't forget to tell us why they are your fave please).

I've made a shabby chic style birthday card using paper from a First Edition pad and a LOTV sentiment.  I've stitched around the  distressed edges and added flowers from Wild Orchich Crafts.

I have also added pearls which are my favourite of the two as I think they add a bit of elegance to a card and also go very well with this style.  I don't use buttons much at all, perhaps to a masculine or a baby card, but that's all.

QUICK AND EASY

Good Morning Everyone,

I have been having a play with a new MFT die I bought from Dies to Die For after seeing these lovely cards on Pinterest.  I thought it would be great for making quick Christmas cards.

This is a small 5" square card and I've used small snippets of grey and silver glitter card glued onto a piece of scrap.  I had to cut into a new piece for the turquoise colour. I cut the window die into my piece of hammered white card, added a heat embossed sentiment from Paper Smooches in silver and adhered it to a square of silver soft sheen card.  I think I'll be making more of these in different colourways.

AYLI DT - ANYTHING GOES

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It and to make it nice and easy for the start of a new year the theme is Anything Goes.

For my card I have used Dainty Dancing by Lili of the Valley who are a new sponsor for us, coloured with copics. The paper is from an old LOTV pad and I've created the card with a Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles.  It's one of the larger dies and measures about 7", but whether I'll make one again is another question as it was so fiddly to get out of the die.  I've added a die cut number 5 out of white glitter card, wild orchid crafts flowers and a button in the shape of ballet pumps which I had to ask hubby to cut the shank off.  The tags are also LOTV and leaves are a Memory Box die.

The prize for the lucky winner will be a choice of 3 digi images from the Etsy shop.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS - ADD SPARKLE

Good Morning Everyone

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a good night whatever you were doing.  We don't go out on New Year's Eve now just have a cosy night in, a Baileys and last night we watched  James Bond in Spectre as we hadn't seen it before.

Well the 1st of the month means a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas challenge and the theme this month is Add Some Sparkle.

I'm going to try and make a few more "grown up" Christmas cards this year as I found a lot of my cute image ones weren't really suitable for some of the older people I send to.  So, for this card, I've used a Stamping Bella image of baubles.  I do love this and will probably try it out in a few different colour ways.  I've used copics and lots of glitter.  The middle bauble has a clear sparkle pen smeared all over it and the outer two have the glitter.  I heat embossed the sentiment and used silver mirror card and a pale green dp from a LOTV pad, although it doesn't look very green in the photo I'm afraid.
