SANTA'S ELF

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  I had a little play and made this Christmas card.

The set is Santa's Elves from MFT and I've coloured with copics.  I masked off the elf and put the tree behind him, the sentiment is from the same set and I've cut them out with a stitched square, added a border and a snippet of patterned paper.

FAVOURITE WILD ANIMAL?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It  where we would like to see projects featuring your favourite wild animal.

I like lots of wild animals but have chosen elephants because they are such gentle giants and when they are being killed purely for their ivory, it is very sad.

I have used my WPlus9 elephants coloured with copics and cut out with their dies.  The birthday die is from MFT and I've cut that from a LOTV simply print watercolour.   I must say I'm not very happy with the card. It's probably because the elephants would have looked better being larger but with them being stamps and not digital I had to go with it and didn't have time to make anything else.

NON TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLOURS

 Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is Non Traditional Colours.

I have chosen pink and grey for my card and have die cut this cute gnome from Simon Says Stamp and have coloured his nose and beard with copics.  Although this is my first time of using this little gnome,  I think it will be a great way to use up some of those snippets we all have.  I have used a Memory box alphabet for the Merry and heat embossed the Christmas in white.

I would like to enter this into:

ABC Christmas - P for Plump (I hope he's plump enough!)
TTCRD - Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, I hope you have a lovely day and I will be back tomorrow.

HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

A lovely sunny day here today.

This is a card made at the weekend with the Sketched Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I have heat embossed it in gold onto Bristol Smooth paper and then coloured with my Zig markers.  I have also  heat embossed the sentiment from the same set and edged the stitched square with strips of gold mirri card.  A few gold sparklies finish it off.

I finally had a cuddle of the new grandson at the weekend as my daughter and o/h tested negative so to get out of their house and get some fresh air they had a walk round to us.

JUST TO SAY ...

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well.

I have made this card for a couple of challenges I saw recently.  I have used a die for the centre which was a magazine freebie and this is it's first use.  I don't know why I haven't used it before, I love the effect it gives.  Have stamped Altenew flowers and leaves from the Adore You set,  coloured with copics, fussy cut them and arranged around the die.  I wouldn't normally use such a bright colour as the blue paper, but I really like it.  The sentiment strip is from LOTV and I've added a few bubbles from Little Things from Lucy.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

 Good Morning Everyone,

I have made a CAS Christmas card to share today.

This is from an old Kanban set and I have heat embossed in gold and silver, cut it out with a stitched rectangle and added a silver mat. The sentiment, also heat embossed, is from a different set, but I can't quite remember which at the moment.

A bit of good news is that my daughter had her baby, a little boy called Kody, a week last Sunday.  He is perfect, but the happy news was mixed with some worrying news two days later when we learnt that she and her partner had both caught Covid.  Not a good start with a 2 day old baby, but I am happy to say they have not been affected too badly.  I have seen baby once from a distance and hopefully in a few days time, all being well, will be able to have a cuddle.

FAVOURITE PRIMARY COLOUR

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It where we are asking you to show us a project using your favourite primary colour.

Blue has been mine for years, until recently when I have changed slightly towards purple, but as that isn't a primary colour I have used blue for my card.  I don't know about anyone else, but I love it when the sky is totally blue in the summer with no clouds, it is beautiful.

I have used some Stampin Up specialty laser cut paper for my card.  It comes in a 12" x 12" sheet and I have carefully cut part of it so it fits the corner and glued with tiny dots of liquid glue to the blue paper.  I have added some clear sparkly dots here and there and heat embossed the sentiment in silver.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS

 Good Morning Everyone,

A little late with my post for the start of a  new Cutie Pie challenge where the theme is Girls, Girls, Girls, so cute and girly please.

For my DT card I have used a LOTV image coloured with copics.  The card is for my niece and she loves to dance.  The sentiments are from a Clearly Besotted set and I've embossed them in white.

I do hope you'll be able to join us and the sponsor this time is:

103 YEARS YOUNG

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope everyone is well.  It's over a week since I posted anything and I've had a look through my drafts and thought I'd better share this card which I made last year.

It was for a lady who was lonely in lockdown and her daughter asked on a local Facebook page for people to send her a card to cheer her up.  I made this quite quickly as it was from an old LOTV art pad, so no colouring, and also with LOTV retired papers.  I've also seen a few weeks ago that she has had her 104th birthday too but there wasn't a request this time.

I've just been watching the ladies cycling in the Olympics.  I haven't watched much of them at all this year, but I thought they were brilliant and Laura Kenny missing her little boy made me well up a bit.  My daughter is expecting a baby and is nearly two weeks overdue so very imminent and exciting!

Thank you for visiting and whatever you will be doing, have a good weekend.
