VINTAGE FLORA

Morning Everyone,

What gorgeous weather we've had for the Bank Holiday here in the UK!  I've tried to do some gardening, but the heat gets to me in the end so have to go and relax somewhere either inside or in the shade.

I thought it was about time I shared this card which has been in my Drafts for a while.  It was coloured for a Facebook challenge where the theme was Monotone colouring.

I went for the vintage look as at the time, and the fact that I hadn't done this type of colouring before, I couldn't think of anything else!  I used warm greys in the copic range as they seemed easier to work with.  I tried the E40's range to start with but one of my pens kept going sticky so I had to give that idea up in the end.

The image is called Vintage Flora from LOTV and I've used papers from First Edition The Promise pad.  All the edges are distressed and I've added a lovely sheer ribbon,  a doily,  pearls and a brad to finish it off.

  4. Hi Lynne, Sandy has put an update on the home page of her shop site. They had over 300 orders on the first day of the sale!! And they still had more the following days! As there is only the 2 of them to pick and pack, it was a bit overwhelming to have so many orders. She sent me a photo this morning of all the enormous sacks ready to go. If however, if you need it quick you can give her a call.

Your card is stunning and love the beautiful image. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  5. Lynne, Kudos! Your card does look very vintage and nostalgic! I just spent yesterday with the hubby with a little daytime road trip to visit 3 antique malls and your card reminded me of much that I saw while browsing. I couldn't resist buying a few old postcards and about 15 vintage embroidered hankies! Thanks for sharing your card with us at PPCC blog this week! Becca/DT
