AYLI DT - Favourite Easter Character

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It and the theme for this fortnight is to showcase a project using your favourite Easter character (and don't forget to tell us why please).

I love chicks and bunnies, but I always associate bunnies more with Easter and they are so cute and cuddly, in fact, have you seen the new Peter Rabbit film that's coming out?  I'd love to see it, they look really cute!

For my card I've chosen a pre-printed image from LOTV.  I don't make Easter cards so thought this could pass for an Easter or a Spring birthday.  I've used 2 sheets of different papers and the kraft swirly bits are from a Marianne Design numbers die that I have.  I'm still not sure why they are on a numbers die though, but they've come in useful for this. All the squares and rectangles have been cut out with stitched edge dies.

The sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons with a lovely prize for the winner.

If you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

2 Crafty Critter Crazies - Anything Goes
Crafting with an Attitude #37 - Anything goes
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Creative Knockouts #235 - Spring is on the Way
Digi Choosday Wk 11 - Anything Goes
Lets Craft & Create - Anything Goes
The Cutie Pie Challenge - Spring Cuties
Noor Design - Spring

I think that's all for now apart from thank you for visiting and I hope you can leave a comment as I do love to read them.

Have a good weekend.

SHOP TILL YOU DROP

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mums out there.  I will be having visitors later today so it will be nice to see my two girls.

This is a card I've made with Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Posh.  I've coloured her with copics and added some sparkle to her dress and the presents.  I didn't use the sentiment that goes with it but used one from a Penny Black set I have as it seemed quite appropriate.  I've used an old LOTV pad called Dress Shoppe for the papers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - Layer It Up
Creative Craft Cottage - Make It Feminine
Simon Say Stamp Weds - Girl Power
Creative Inspirations - Any Occasion
Crafty Friends - For a Special Lady
Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I hope you can leave a comment as I love to read them.

AYLI DT - SINGLE OR MULTIPLE LAYERS

Good Morning,

We have a new challenge over at As You Like It and for this fortnight the theme is to showcase a project using either single or multiple layers (and don't forget to tell us why please or you won't be eligible for the prize or Top 3).

I think single layer cards can look so good, but I just can't do it! I do like pretty patterned papers and when I've tried single layers I always feel as though I have something missing so I stick with more than one.

The sponsor for this challenge is

who have kindly provided us with images to work with.

My card shows Polkadoodles Cute Robins with Stockings digi image which I've coloured with copics to match the First Edition paper.  I've added fun flock to their pom poms, glitter on their hats and liquid pearls on the mistletoe berries.  I found it difficult to know how to decorate this card because the image seemed quite busy so I've kept it fairly simple with some velvet ribbon and pearls.  I've also used mini scalloped dies from My Favorite Things. This is my third christmas card of the week so I'm certainly getting on with them.

I hope you can join us and if you could pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Challenge wk 8 - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday - Anything Goes
Dream Valley - Things with Wings
Allsorts - I Spy something beginning with B - Birds

Thank you for visiting and I hope you can leave a comment as I do love to read them.

Have a good weekend and keep warm, I know I won't be going far, I think the snow must be up to 7 or 8 inches on the lawn.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS DT - STARS

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well and keeping warm.  Lots of snow here yesterday and the dogs are loving it.  They've been like excited children chasing each other around the garden, but on the down side it took our daughter 3 hours to get to work and she only lives 6 miles away, if that.

Anyway it's the first of the month so time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and the theme for this month is "Twinkle, Twinkle Stars".

This is my card and I've used a free stamp and sentiment from a Creative Stamping magazine which I've embossed in silver and added small punched silver mirri stars from my Fiskars hole puncher.  The photo hasn't come out very well I'm afraid,  I think it was quite a sunny day when I took it.

I would like to enter this into:

Penny Paper Crafty 369 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes + a sentiment
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

I hope you can join us this month and if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

Thank you for finding the time to visit and I hope you can leave a comment as I do love to read them.

I will be back soon with another DT card.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES - ANYTHING GOES

Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend, kept warm and hopefully had some time to craft.

We're back with a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the challenge is a nice and easy one as it's Anything Goes, that is as long as it's cute and Christmas projects only.

For my card I've used a cute stamp from Whimsy stamps, which I coloured with copics, I just love these bunnies.  I've used various First Edition christmas paper and kraft card.  There's not much else to say about it really apart from glossy accents being added to the holly berries and a few pearls in the  corner.  I'm trying to keep some of my cards fairly flat at the moment for posting purposes so resisted adding anything else.

The lucky winner will receive a prize from this month's sponsor Crafty Ribbons.

I hope you will be able to join us in the challenge and if you'd like to pop over here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Rudolph Days Feb Challenge - Anything Christmas
Allsorts - I Spy Something Beginning with B - Bunnies
Fab n Funky - Christmas
Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Cute Critters
Deep Ocean Challenge - Cute and Cuddly

I hope you have a good week and don't get too much snow.

SPRING BIRTHDAY

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are well.  It's a lovely sunny morning here, but still quite cold.

I'm sharing this JFF card today as I was in need of a few flattish birthday cards and this is one of them.

I was lucky enough to win some Bugaboo images a week or so ago and this is one I picked. I've coloured the image in copics and made a fairly simple card with yellow cardstock and ribbon to match the tulip.  The white card is of the hammered variety to give it a bit more interest and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.  Not my normal style I must admit, but I was pleased with how it turned out. I've also used stitched edge dies to cut everything out, but you can't see it very well in the photo.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge - Spring Flowers
Southern Girls - Nature
Dragonfly Dreams - Flowers
Bizzy Becs Store - Anything Goes
The Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes
Penny Paper Crafty 368 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and hopefully you will find time to leave a comment, I do appreciate it and love to read them.

See you soon,

Lynne x

AYLI DT - FAVE WAY TO ADD A SENTIMENT

Morning Everyone,

It is time for the next challenge over at As You Like It and for this fortnight we would like you to showcase a project showing your favourite way to add a sentiment (and please don't forget to say why  as it won't be eligible for a prize or top 3 spot).

I've failed miserably in my efforts to try and not buy any more stamps/images as I have been tempted to a few just lately.  This one is from Di's Digistamps which I have coloured with copics.  I tried to colour it with my new pencils, but struggled to find a blue that suited.

More often than not when I'm making a card I don't think about the sentiment until the end and struggle with where to put one, so my most favourite way then is to use these little tags under a bow.  These are from Mama Elephant, but I also use the LOTV ones quite a lot too.

I've used a Crealies mini scalloped square and ribbon and pearls finish it off.

If you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

The sponsor for this fortnight is

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Noor Design February - Celebrations
Creative Moments - Anything Goes

Thank you for finding the time to visit and I hope you can leave a comment as I do love to read them.

Have a good weekend,
