FAVOURITE CRITTER?

Good Morning Everyone,

Back again for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It where we are asking you to share your projects containing a favourite critter.

Not in real life as I would freak if there was one in the house, but colouring wise I do love these cute mice with their big ears and they are easy to colour too.  This is a digi stamp from Di's digi designs. I've had it for ages and never coloured it up before so thought it was time.

I have used copics to colour and papers from a pad which seems to have gone walkies so I can't remember the make.  After I'd coloured quite a bit I had an ink mark where it couldn't be hidden so I fussy cut the image and glued it to another die cut circle.  I thought it was ruined at first but then thought they would be fairly easy to cut out so that it what I did.  The sentiment is from a Penny Black set.

FIGGY PUDDING

Morning Everyone,

It's been a while sisnce I posted anything other than a DT card, but thought I'd have a play with this sweet die set from Spellbinders called Dancing Figgy Pudding.

I cut the little pud from a few snippets and inked the face at the edges.  The eyes and cheeks are just tiny bits of black and pink stuck to the back and I've added glossy accents to the berries.  The paper is from a piece from a LOTV pad and the sentiment from a Paper Smooches stamp set embossed in silver.

I would like to enter:

Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Snippets Playground - Use snippets

Short and sweet today. I've been completing a few DT cards as I like to get them made up in advance at this time of year before the Christmas madness starts.

See you soon.

AUTUMN AT ALLSORTS

Morning Everyone,

A new challenge is starting at Allsorts today and the theme which has been chosen by Brenda is Autumn. and there is always Anything Goes too.

For my card I have used a digistamp from LOTV which I bought in a bundle in one of their offers.  I have coloured him and the leaves with copics.  The papers are all from an old LOTV pad and I have added twine and the sentiment from my stash.

Prizes are from Stamp Addicts and a gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp

RIBBON OR TWINE?

 Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and and we are asking whether you prefer ribbon or twine on your projects.

I've had several attempts at my photo for this card but can't seem to get a good picture.  I've settled for this one, it is a bit darker than in irl but the others were too light.

Just lately I've been using more twine as I find it easier to tie a small bow and it's not so bulky as ribbon.
I have used a Spellbinders set called Hello You.  Die cut everything with coloured card and used ink for the darker shady bits.  The frame is from Pinkfresh Studio and the die inside the frame is an unbranded one from Amazon.    The orange paper is from a LOTV pad and mini tags from CraftAddiction.  I do like how you can imprint the words on these rather than having to use a stamp.

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLOURS

Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new challenge at Allsorts today and I have chosen the optional theme, alongside Anything Goes, which is 'Traditional Christmas Colours.'

For my card I have used a preloved stamp called Snowy Postcard from Stampendous recently bought on a FB declutter page.  I have inked the edges with antique linen Distress ink and coloured the holly and cottages with copics.  Glitter has been added to the snow.  I have used some tartan paper in red, green and gold from a First Edition pad and matted everything with gold paper.

I haven't added a sentiment as wherever I tried it just didn't look right so nothing added.  A few pearls were added for the berries on the holly.

There are two prizes, one is a Tim Holtz Festive Foliage stamp and the other is a £10 voucher for a digital prize, both from Buddly Crafts.

There are two weeks for the challenge and you can pop over to the challenge here to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

SQUARE OR NOT AT AYLI

 Morning Everyone,

We have a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and this week wold like to know whether you prefer to make square cards or not and don't forget to give your reason why please.

I do make both square and rectangular cards but square are my favourite as there seems to be more space on them to fit things in.  I usually make 6" square, but this one is a 7" and I definitely needed it for the large sentiment which is from Memory Box.

The cocktail glass etc are from Spellbinders and I have cut it out with gold card and then used coloured card for all the extras with a bit of inking on them for more depth.  The sentiment has been cut twice, once in white and once in gold and I've offset it a tiny bit so you can see the gold.  Some pearls and a little pearly heart finish it off.

Have a good day and thank you for your visit.
