STAMPED OR DIGI?

Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at As You Like It where we are asking whether you prefer to use stamped or digi images.

I do use both, but when I'm making a larger card like this one which is 7" square I love the fact that you can re-size digis.   Sometimes stamps can look a little lost on a larger card.

This card is for my niece and I have used Milkshake Rebel from Polkadoodles and coloured her with copics, although her milkshake looks more like a Slush Puppy, but never mind. The sentiments, which are from MFT,  are straight although they don't look it in the photo!  The papers are from a LOTV pad and I've finished it off with little pearl hearts, a button flower and the age in white glitter.

The prize for the lucky winner is a voucher from:

I would like to enter:

Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles - Anything Goes

Woke up today and I think it's probably one of the hardest frosts we've had so far this year.  Not going out till lunchtime though so hopefully be gone by then.  Have a good one whatever you may be doing.

ROMANCE/MUSIC

Morning Everyone,

A new challenge starts today over at Allsorts where the theme, as chosen by Gail, is Romance with the option of Musical notes/instruments and there is of course always the Anything Goes route too.

I have just gone with the Romance theme and used a LOTV digi for an Annniversary card.  I have coloured with copics and cut it out with my arched die, which seems to be a favourite at the moment.  The papers are from an old LOTV pad and I have heat embossed the sentiment, which is from Kaisercraft, in gold.  Little pearl hearts finish it off.

There are prizes on offer from AALL and Create

BIRTHDAY BOUQUET

 Morning Everyone,

I have been having a play with die cut flowers again.  These are from three different Hero Arts

sets, Envelope and Bouquet Accessories and Bees and Flowers fancy dies.  I have cut some with coloured papers and some with white card and coloured with copics.  I have coloured with colours for the colour challenge at Seven Hill Crafts and these include red, orange, purple, green and some browns.

The embossing folder is from Spellbinders and the sentiment is from an MFT set and has been heat embossed in white.

I would like to enter this into:

Beautiful Blossoms  - Anything Floral
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes

Thank you for your visit and have a good week.

PEARLS OR GEMS?

 Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking whether you prefer pearls or gems on your projects.

I do like both, but tend to use pearls a lot more.  They are elegant and always seem to suit my cards more than gems.  For my DT card I have used dies from Honey Bee stamps call Sweetheart Roses.  They were one of my impulse buys a while ago from Dies to Die For and I've had them made up but not put them on a card until now.  I am a terrible impulse buyer and am going to try and stop this year and use a few of the items in my NBUS basket.

I've coloured the roses with various shades of yellow/orange from Altenew's mini ink cubes.  The instructions on the leaflet only shows four roses, but I thought it looked a bit bare so I've added two more.
The sentiment is from a Penny Black set.  It is quite dark, but I tried it in white it didn't show up very well with it being on the patterned paper, which is from Anna Marie Designs. I've stitched round the edges and finished off with a few pearls and a little pearlised dragonfly.

The roses were made from white snippets and other snippets were the green foliage and the planter.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I would like to enter:

Creative Knockouts - Something to say

CLOSE TO NATURE

Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new challenge over at Allsorts this morning with a theme of "Back to Nature", which involves so much such as trees, flowers, animals, birds and scenery to name but a few.  There is also the Anything Goes option.

For my card I have finished something that has been on my desk for a while.  It is an embossing folder from the Altenew Craft Your Life Fragrant Florals set.  A stencil comes with the set which I have used for the colouring together with a variety of Altenew inks.  I have also used a LOTV sentiment, heat embossed in gold, and gold mirri and green card for the layers.

There are three prizes of A5 stamp sets from AALL and Create

I would like to enter:

There are two weeks to enter so I hope you will be able to join us.

HAVE A BLOOMING GREAT DAY

 Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  Too cold for me to be doing much but I think it's going to warm up a bit this week. I am sharing a card made over the weekend with a digi stamp from LOTV.

I have coloured the cute image with copics and cut the image out with a stitched rectangle.  After a search through my papers I settled for a yellow and green plaid, which I think is from MFT, and a blue ribbon.

A very simple layout, but I do like how it has turned out.  I have used the rubber stamp of this image before, but I wanted it to be a bit larger this time so used the digi instead.

I would like to enter:

Crafty Catz #685 - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday - Anything Goes
Dis Digi Design challenge - Hand coloured image
Passion for Markers - Include and insect (bee and butterfly)
We Love Stamping - Anything But Square

Thank you for your visit and I will see you again soon.

FAVOURITE PAPER BRAND

Morning Everyone,

We have our first challenge starting over at As You Like It and we're asking you to share a project using your favourite paper brand.

I still love my old LOTV 8" paper pads.  They all co-ordinate well and are much easier to use than 6" papers.  I do have a lot of their snippets though hence my patchwork card.  I've used a Textures die by Lou Collins for the white outlines and stuck that onto a piece of copy paper and then used snippets of three patterned papers to cut as many hexagons as I could.  Then comes the placing of all the pieces to try and make sure I don't put the same patterns next to each other.  Once they're all in place and I'm happy they all have to be glued in so it's not a quick process.

I've used my Clearly Besotted frame dies to surround the patchwork and an old Spellbinders sentiment die.

The challenge is just for fun this time so no sponsor.

I would like to enter:

Snippets Playground - all the patchwork shapes were cut from snippets.
PIP challenge 2501 - Anything Goes
Pennys Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles Wk 1 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, have a good weekend and stay warm.

MATCHING PAIRS

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy New Year.

We have a new challenge starting over at Allsorts and the theme is "Matching Pairs" or there is always the option of Anything Goes.

For my pair I have covered a plain white bag with paper from Craft Creations and made a matching tag.
The circle on the bag is a Tattered Lace die, as is the tag, and I have stamped the Merry Christmas, which is from LOTV with silver metallic ink.

My sister in law gave me a lot of the white flowers so I thought as they are glittery I would add a bit of decoration to both bag and tag.  I've changed the handles of the bag to white ribbon.

There are three prizes on offer from Lavinia stamps.

You have two weeks to enter and I hope you can pop over and see the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Thank you for visiting and I will be back later in the week.
