Morning Everyone,
A mew challenge starts today at As You Like It and the theme is to share your favourite "Non Card Projects".
The only thing I am making at the moment that's not a card are these knitted poppies. Our village church has put a request in the local magazine for them as they want to make a cascade from the top of the church tower to the ground for Remembrance Day in November. I thought that gives me plenty of time to make a few so found two different patterns on the internet and these are the first four I've made.
I've actually run out of wool now as I didn't have a full ball so am awaiting a delivery of more tomorrow.
The sponsor for the challenge is:
I'm visualising how lovely your Church will look in November, what a lovely idea and your knitted Poppies adding to the display.

How big are they!?
Gosh, I hope the church tower isn't too high! That's a lot of poppies, but will look spectacular. These are so pretty. Hope you share a photo of it when the display is up.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful Lynne and they look great in the different stitches xx
