PLAIN OR PATTERNED PAPER

Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new challenge today at As You Like It and we would like to see a project using your plain or patterned paper, whichever is your favourite of the two.

I have way too much patterned paper so love it when a card comes together and I can get some use out of it.  The pile never seems to get any smaller though!

HEAT EMBOSSING

Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is Heat Embossing. 

I have used part of a Colorado Craft slimline stamp for the poinsettia heat embossed in gold, fussy cut and adhered to a stitched rectangle in the same colour red.  I added a few gold sparklies and gold liquid pearls            in the centre of the flowers.

There are two prizes on offer and you have until Tuesday 11th July to enter, so still plenty of time.

FAVOURITE NON-BIRTHDAY OCCASION?

 Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking to see your favourite non' birthday projects.

My favourite has to be Christmas although, apart from my Christmas DT posts, I have been trying not to make too many this year as I still have some left from last year.  I just love all the sparkle you can add to a card and heat embossing.    Saying that there's not a lot of extra sparkle on this card only on the paper which has glitter on it.  I have heat embossed my favourite tree from Stampin Up onto black card, added two co-ordinating papers and some upcycled ribbon from a present last year.

DADS AND/OR LADS

Morning Everyone,

We have a new challenge starting over at The Cutie Pie challenge where the theme is Dads and/or Lads and, of course, cute.

I have used a pre-coloured image from LOTV and papers from stash to match.  The sentiments are from the teenage boys sentiments, also from LOTV.  Two dots made from the paper and glossy accents.  A simple card, but I do like the colours.

GAME BOY

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all ready for the heatwave we are due to have here in the UK.  I don't like it too hot so today will most likely be a day indoors for me.

I have made a card for my grandson's birthday using a LOTV image.

This is a large C5 size card as I like to make family cards a little bit larger than normal.  

I have coloured the image with copics in colours to match the papers and added a computer generated sentiment.  The numbers are small ones from X-cut.  I made the two dots in the same green paper and lathered them with glossy accents.

BRIGHTS OR PASTELS?

 Good Morning Everyone,

I can't believe it's June already!  It is also the start of a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking to see projects using your preference between "Brights or Pastels".

I don't use brights very often, it's just how it seem to go, but when I do I really like them against a white background, which shows them off really well.

For my card I have used bark embossed card with the Sizzix wild flower dies coloured with my Zigs.  They are really bright so great to use for this challenge.  A few enamel dots, bow and the sentiment finish it off.
