AS YOU LIKE IT DT - FAVOURITE FLOWER

Hi Everyone,

It's time for the start of another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using your favourite flower (don't forget to tell us why it's your favourite).

The sponsor for this challenge is Wild Orchid Crafts with a prize of a £12 gift voucher for the winner.

I love all flowers, but have chosen the rose as it is typically English and they come in many beautiful colours and varieties.  The fragrance of some of them can be gorgeous.

I made an easel card with a pre-coloured image from a LOTV art pad.  I die cut a frame using Lil Inkers dual stitched circle dies, used Nitwit collections paper and added a Stampin Up sentiment, satin ribbon, pearls and 2 mini die cut butterflies by Cheery Lynn.  I tried to keep the card as flat as possible when folded down so that it would go through that dreaded little slot at the post office so no other embellishments were added.

I hope you like it, it's my first attempt at an easel card.

If you would like to pop over to As You Like It you'll be able to see all the lovely designs by the rest of the team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Ribbon Girl - Any Image
Noor Design - Anything Goes
Paper Creator - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes
Fab n Funky - Use ribbon and/or pearls

Thank you for visiting and I love to read any comments you may leave.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES DT

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of the next challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme of this month's challenge is Christmas Carols and Songs.  So we'd love to see your creations connected with that theme, as long as it's cute and Christmassy.

The sponsor this month is:

and I have used one of their images on my card:

The image has been coloured with copics and their hats have been glittered and fun flocked on the pom poms.  I've put little pearls as the berries on the holly.  These came in a mixed bag and I thought I'd never find a use for them, but I was wrong!  The trees are die cut from Sizzix Tim Holtz Woodland trees and Find It Trading Snowy trees.  The paper is First Edition Winter Blooms pad.

It would be nice if you could pop over to the challenge here and see all the lovely cards from the rest of the design team.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - A is for Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. 399 - Christmas
Inky Chicks - Anything Goes
Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I appreciate any comments you leave.

BIRTHDAY FAIRY

Hi Everyone

I'm so pleased to tell you that I have been asked by the super talented ladies on the As You Like It Challenge to be a part of their team.

So today is my first post for the challenge and this fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using your favourite Hair Colour Combo (in whatever colouring medium you use).....and don't forget to tell us why it's your favourite!

The sponsor for this challenge is Paper Nest Dolls with a prize of 3 images of the winners choice

My favourite hair colour combo in Copics for this particular card is E40, E41, and E42 with a touch of E43 because this cute little fairy looks just like my niece so I  coloured the hair to match hers.

I coloured the fairy image, which is from LOTV, and then cut her out on a stitched circle die and stuck that onto a Marianne design die.  The flowers are MFT Upsy Daisy dies, which I have inked with Spun Sugar distress ink and the scalloped border was cut with a Stampin Up border die.  The sentiment (also LOTV), a bit of glitter and pink satin ribbon finish it off.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Fab n Funky - Birthday with a number
Dies R Us - Anything Goes with Die Cuts
Polkadoodles - Anything Goes
Fuss n Fancy Friday- Angels/Fairies
Live and Love Crafts - E - Photo Inspiration Collage

I hope you can pop over to As You Like It and check out the lovely projects from the rest of the team.

Thank you for visiting and I appreciate any comments that you leave.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Everyone

Happy New Year to you all.  I hope you are over the festivities and are getting back to normal now and that you received some nice crafty gifts for Christmas.

I don't normally do this but I have made one or two New Year's resolutions for this year, but whether I stick to them is another matter!  The main one is to try and keep my craft room tidy!  It's been a proper tip just lately and I'll have to spend some time clearing things up.  The second one is to try and use some of the stamps I haven't used yet and the third one is to try and lose some weight.  We shall see whether this all happens.

Anyway, this card was for hubby's birthday just before Christmas.

It is a LOTV digi image which I flipped over to make him look right-handed. Hubby loves to be in his workshop and his hobby is to make small working locos hence the picture of the Flying Scotsman.  I coloured the image with copics, distressed the edges of the paper, added some hessian and die cut cogs and a little metal heart.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Someone Special
The Ribbon Girl - Any Card

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments, they are much appreciated.
