NEW OR RECYCLED?

 Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking whether you prefer to recycle items for your crafting or use new stuff.

Sometimes I see things that I could re-use on a card but I much prefer to use new stuff and I certainly seem to have plenty of that at the moment!    I think it makes it more exciting if it's new and you wonder how it's going to turn out.

For my card I have used The Greetery Balloon Bouquet stamp set and their twisted crepe dies.  It took a bit of practice to line up the flowers on the largest balloon.  There are four steps to it and even a tiny bit out and it doesn't look right.  Another thing I found with the set is that I couldn't find an ink that would stamp evenly for the large ballon so I ended up using coloured cardstock for that one. The two smaller balloons have been coloured with copics.

Glitter has been added to the streamers on every other piece and also to the numbers.  Sequins in similar colours to the balloons finish it off.

CAS TREES

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick card to enter into this months Rudolph Days challenge.

It's a cas card made with a SSStamp set Clean Line Christmas.  I've heat embossed the trees in gold, coloured with Gansai Watercolour paints in different shades of gold and fussy cut them out.  They look much better in real life than in the photo.  The sentiment has also been heat embossed and I've used gold mirri card for the mat.

I would like to enter:

March Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
ABC Christmas - E for embossing

Just a quick one today.  I've spent all day indoors today due to the rainy weather and managed to get two cards finished.

Back tomorrow with a DT card.

SLIMLINE AT CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS

Morning Everyone,

I am back with my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is 'Slimline'.

I have used a Woodware stamp for this one called Peaceful Night, heat embossed in gold and coloured with pencils.  Gold card has been added for the mat and with it being a large stamp nothing else was needed.

Last day for entering is 12th April so still plenty of time to have a play and there is a stamp set given as a prize for the lucky winner.

I would like to enter:

ABC Christmas - E for embossing
Simon Says Weds - Favourite things (heat embossing and christmas cards)

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good day.

FAVOURITE NON TRADITIONAL EASTER CHARACTER

 Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking for your favourite Non Traditional Easter Character so no bunnies or chicks please.

This was a difficult one for me, but I do love these cute dragons from Lee Holland and think would be ideal for either boys or girls.  I have coloured this cutie with copics and used a simple design with plaid paper in the same colours.  The sentiment is from LOTV.

We are sponsored by:

with a lovely prize for the lucky winner

I would like to enter:

BEGINNING WITH 'B'

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  Today is the start of a new challenge at the Cutie Pie challenge and our theme is "Something Beginning with B" so it must be cute and begin with 'b'.

My daughter has asked me for a couple of baby cards so I decided to go with Baby Boy for the theme.  He has been coloured with copics to match the papers.  The image and sentiment are from LOTV and I've used various dies to add a bit of interest.  I feel as though I can't add lace or flowers for boys so they are always a bit plainer than a girl's card.

I would like to enter:

Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Snippets Playground #423 - Use snippets (these were everything above the alphabet paper)
PIP challenge #2211 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and have a good week.

FLORAL BIRTHDAY

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a card I've made with my fairly new Stampin Up stamps and dies called Artistically Inked.

The flowers and leaves are the layering type and have been stamped in 2 shades of yellow and green and cut out with their dies. The smaller leaves are gold as is the strip of tape, but they look black in the photo.  I've added a few splatters of gold paint and the sentiment from the set is heat embossed in gold.

I'm not overly happy with the final outcome, but it's only my first attempt at playing with the set so hopefully will improve in time.

I would like to enter:

Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
CCC Digi Creations - Add/include flowers
Crafty Calendar - Spots/Stripes
Simon Says Weds - A Bit o' Green

Thank you for visiting and have a good weekend.

INTERACTIVE OR NOT?

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking whether you prefer to make Interactive (moving parts) projects or not.  I think I've only ever made one interactive card so I must be in the "not" category.

For my DT card I've used a set called Even More Spring Flowers from Simon Says Stamp heat embossed in white and coloured with Zig markers and fussy cut.  The centre circle has been cut out with a stitched die and then dry embossed with a folder from SSS called Lumen.  This has been layered onto a mini scalloped die in the lilac paper.

The sentiment is from LOTV.  This was my second choice from the set as I noticed that some of the sentiments in that set are disintegrating (splitting and falling apart). I don't know if anyone else has had that problem with small clear stamps?  It could be because they are quite small or could be age I suppose, but it is one of my favourite sets so not too happy about it.

I would like to enter:

Simon Says Weds - Add a die cut
Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
CCC Digi -  Add Flowers
Creative Inspirations - Spring Flowers

I hope you will be able to join in and if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment.
