AYLI DT - FAVOURITE COLOUR DUO

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight the theme is to showcase a project using your favourite colour duo (and don't forget to tell us why please).

My favourite is lilac and aqua.  Lilac is my fave colour anyway, but I think it goes so well with aqua, they are very fresh looking and look good on any card whether it's summery or christmas.  This is the card I've made.

This is an All Dressed Up image called Butterfly Bunny, she's so sweet.  The papers are from a LOTV pad and I've used a Mama Elephant tag and a Sara Davies flower die.

The sponsor for the challenge is

with a prize of a 3 digi voucher worth £6.75

I hope you can join us and if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you will be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

All Dressed Up - Anything Goes
Noor Design - Use Die Cuts
Ribbon Girl -  Any Image

Have a good weekend.  We're in Northumberland for a wedding this so hoping the weather will stay fine.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES - FAVOURITE FESTIVE DIGI

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is to show us your favourite festive digi, but it must be cute and, of course,  a christmas creation.

We were kindly offered images from the lovely sponsors, Papernest Dolls, and this is the card I've made.

The image is called Emma with snowflake banner and I've coloured her with copics and layered her up onto some lovely new paper, to me anyway, from First Edition called Christmas Promise.  I've put stickles round the distressed edges of the white rectangle and used fun flock for the pom pom on the hat.  The sentiment is stamped in metallic silver and is from LOTV.

If you'd like to pop over here and see the rest of the creations from the DT, it will hopefully get your juices going to create those christmas cards.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T. - Christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts CC Extra -Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Use a Digi Image
ABC Christmas - N for new (papers)
A Gem of a Challenge - Christmas in July
Di's Digi Designs - Christmas in July
Deep Ocean Challenge - Christmas in July

Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment if you can so I know you've been.  They are all much appreciated.

Have a good week,

FLOWERS FOR YOU

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the warm weather again.

This is a general birthday card for my stock box and it's a fairly simple one too.  I love this little Odd Dog from LOTV, he's so easy to colour.  I have put some shading round the edges, but you can't see it very clearly.

I cut the large banner with Spellbinders Baby Bunting die and used oddments of paper.  I have so much paper now,  I've got to stop buying it!  Pearls, a doily and a LOTV sentiment finish the card off.

I hope you like it.

I would like to enter the following challenges:-

A Gem of a Challenge - Animals
Ribbon Girls - Use Any Image
Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes
Crafty Friends - Floral
Glitter n Sparkle - Anything Goes
Come and Get It Challenge - Use 2 or more Designer Papers

Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment thank you for that too, it is much appreciated.

AYLI DT - PEARLS OR GEMS

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project with your favourite of either pearls or gems (and don't forget to say why they are your favourite please).

I do like both, but tend to favour pearls a lot more. I think they finish a card off and look more elegant, particularly for special occasion cards.

This is a wedding card for my niece made with a LOTV sentiment.  The colour theme of the wedding is supposed to be a secret, but I've heard on the grapevine I'd be safe with silver and pink, so let's hope so!  I've used a spellbinders die for the mat and silver paper from First Edition, silver sheen card and added embellishments of flowers, pink and green leaves, lace, pearls, a metal corner and because I didn't like the empty space on the right hand side, I added 2 small metal hearts.

One of the flowers is my first attempt at a rolled rose.  I made it in coloured vellum and added a pearl to the centre.  I really like the look of them in a bunch of flowers.

If you'd like to pop over to the challenge here, you'll be able to see the lovely creations from the rest of the design team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Fussy & Fancy Friday - Celebration
The Sketchy Challenges - Bingo (flowers, die cuts, pearls)
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Noor Design - Die cuts
The Ribbon Girls - July card

Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting.  I really appreciate and love to read your comments.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Morning Everyone,

Apologies for this being a Christmas card when we're having such warm weather here at the moment, but I bought these Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamps and wanted to have a play with them straight away.  I wanted to buy them last year, but left it too late so I thought I'd buy them early this time.

I coloured the reindeer with copics and die cut them with their little dies (which I also treated myself to) and then inked the background with three blue distress inks.  I used a white gel pen for the snow and the cottage die is from Wild Rose Studio.  These were layered under an aperture using an inside/outside stitched circle die. The little reindeer were stuck down and the LOTV sentiment stamped in metallic silver.

You will probably be seeing more of these little fellas in the next few months :).

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas - N for new (stamps and dies)
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything Goes
Inky Chicks - Christmas
Dies R Us - Layers (dies used - Reindeers, Cottage and stitched circle)
HLS Christmas - Anything Goes/Use Die Cuts
CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge -Anything Goes
Ribbon Girls - Any card

I hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you for visiting. I do love reading your comments.
