CAROL KITTENS

 Morning Everyone,

This is my last card for this month and I've made a smaller version of this card which I made five years ago.  When I looked at it I couldn't believe it was that long ago, time just flies so quick!

This is my favourite kitten set so I thought I'd share it with the Christmas Kickstart Cat Lovers challenge in memory of Janis Woolbright.

I've coloured the kitties with copics, added glitter to their hats and fussy cut them out.  I've used a brick layer die from The Greetery on the background and die cut the lamp.  The sentiment is also from the Carol Kitten set which is from Gerda Steiner.

LOTUS FLOWERS

Morning Everyone,

This is a card I've made with an Alex Syberia digi stamp called Lotus flower.

I have coloured with copics and tried to use some of the colours in the latest Alex Syberia challenge.  The theme was heat embossing but I couldn't really do that with a digi image.  I've added a few clear drops, the sentiment is heat embossed in white and a snippet of the black paper was found in one of my boxes.  I tend to keep all offcuts and scraps by colour in clear A4 boxes but the pile seems to grow bigger and bigger! Perhaps I ought to be ruthless and throw some.

I would like to enter this into:

Thank you for reading this and have a good weekend.

NEON

Morning Everyone,

I decided to make a card for the Colourful Options challenge where the theme is Neon.  In fact I ended up making two cards.  This is the first one:

I used Hero Arts neon ink through a rectangle stencil and then stamped the floral image from MFT onto it once it was dry.  I haven't used this stamp before and I really like it so will have to have a go at colouring it some time.  I heat embossed the sentiment and used black card for the mat and some clear raindrops were added too.

This is the second card:

I've used some neon coloured card and stamped and heat embossed Dreamees stitched flowers and then fussy cut them all out.  The orange flowers, which are the brightest in real life haven't photographed very well at all. The dark wooden effect paper is from a My Minds Eye pad.

These are both being entered into:

Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
The Flower Challenge (top card) - Anything floral

Another wet and rainy day here today. The fields across the way from us still haven't gone down from last weekend so they will be flooded for a while yet.

Have a good day whatever you will be doing.

MONOCHROMATIC AT CCC

Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is 'Monochromatic'.

I decided to go with silver and white and have used a Stamping Up tree heat embossed in silver, used silver mirri card for the mats and a MFT zig zag die for the glitter card.  A fairly simple card, but I do love these tree stamps for Christmas.

There are a few prizes on offer and there's still plenty of time to enter with the closing date being Tuesday, 7th November so I hope you can join us.

I would like to enter:

MEOWY CHRISTMAS

 Hello Everyone,

I have finally managed to get this card finished after starting it over a week ago.  Other things have got in the way, but when it was pouring down all day yesterday some time in the craft room helped no end.

We were lucky with the rain, flooded outside the back door, but a lot of houses lower down in the village and nearer the river have had flood damage.

This is my card for the Christmas Kickstart Cat Lovers challenge which runs during October in memory of Janis Woolbright used to run a Cat Lovers blog hop, but sadly passed away in January.

I have used a Stamping Bella set called Meowy Christmas.   I've only used 2 of the 3 kitties in the set and coloured them with copics.  The sentiment is from the set and I used a mini scolloped border die and added red ribbon to finish it off.

I would like to enter:

SANTA OR SNOWMEN?

Morning Everyone,

We have a new challenge starting over at As You Like It and would like to know whether you prefer Santa or Snowmen on your projects.

I have chosen Santa for this one as we hardly get any snow here nowadays and I think Santas are more apt for Christmas cards.

I have used a cute Christmas line up from Clearly Besotted, coloured with copics and a Lawn Fawn border for the trees.  I inked the sky in three different blues, attached that to the card and added the Santa part on top.

HELLO

Hello Everyone,

The weather has turned a lot colder here this weekend so it looks as though I'll be wearing my bigger coat for dog walking later!

I've probably said before that I give quite a few of my cards to an elderly aunt as she has a lot of friends and isn't that well off and she does seem to appreciate them.  This is one I've made for her and the colours were inspired by the latest Passion for Markers challenge.

It is part of a background stamp called Flora Background from Simon Says Stamp and I've heat embossed in gold and coloured with my Zig markers.  The 'Hello' die is an old one from Spellbinders.  It was quite hard to get this photographed right with the mirri card.  It looks as though there are marks around the circle but it's just shadows.  I must have had about 5 goes but gave up in the end.

I would like to enter:

Have a good rest of the day and thank you for visiting.

VINTAGE MALE

 Hello Everyone,

A very wet day here today. I managed to take the dogs for a walk before it started so I think that will be it for today. They don't like the wet weather.

This is a card made for my older brother and was inspired by one I saw in a magazine a few years ago.  I have used the Woodware stamp 'Wearing it Well' stamped in black and heat embossed with clear powder.  I stamped the shoes and hat again and fussy cut them out so I could stick the die cut sentiment underneath.

Edges were lightly inked before distressing with a Tim Holtz tool and brown enamel dots added.  I don't make many masculine cards, but do like to send him one as he always seems to appreciate it.

I would like to enter:

Thank you for visiting and let's hope this wet weather clears up soon.   I have some clearing up to do in the garden before our next green bin is emptied.

THINK PINK

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at The Cutie Pies and the theme is "Think Pink".

When I saw the theme I had to have a think who I could make a pink card for and came up with my niece.  Her birthday isn't until next year so I am way ahead on this one, which is good as I have quite a few birthdays early on in the year.

I used two little fairies from LOTV, added the sentiment on the computer and also looked for a free digital no. 4 on Pinterest, which I have paper pieced.  I've coloured the fairies and stars with copics and also added sparkle by way of a pen to the wings and the stars, but as usual you can't see it very well in the photo.

I hope you can pop over to the challenge and see the inspiration from the rest of the DT and remember any entries must be cute.

I would like to enter:

HALLOWEEN OR FAIRIES?

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It  and we are asking to see your favourite of either Halloween or Fairies.

I don't make Halloween cards. Perhaps when my two grandchildren are a bit older it might be a different story, so until then I have opted for fairies.  This one is from Colour of Love and is Wildflower Fairy.  I have coloured her with copics and added the background sky with a stencil from MFT. The backing paper is from a pad by Craft Consortium and I've added sparkle pen to her wings and a die cut wreath in blue for added interest.

The sponsor for the challenge is:
with a voucher for the lucky winner

If you pop over to the challenge you'll be able to see the results from the last challenge and also fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT.
