FAVOURITE WAY TO ADD TEXT

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and the we would like you to tell us and showcase a project using your favourite way to add text on a project.

I use all types, i.e. stamping, digital, computer generated, but often like to heat emboss, especially on Christmas cards.   I prefer my sentiments to be in rubber for that reason.

I've used an old LOTV stamp for this card coloured with copics and I've heat embossed the sentiment in silver.  The larger stamp is from a Whimsy set and the other words are from LOTV as are the papers (now retired). I've also added ribbon and a little die cut flower.

The sponsor for the challenge is

I hope you can join us and you can see the rest of the DT inspiration here.

I mentioned in my last post that we were going to a Steampunk Festival on Monday and these are a few of the amazing costumes we saw.

I only took the first 2.  They're not brilliant as we were in shade, but the other 2 were from the local paper.  The festival is on for 3 or 4 days and the really serious people have different costumes for each day.  I really don't know how they managed in the sweltering heat and the 2 in the last photo were on a tricycle and I think they were the best.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Allsorts - Feminine
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Emboss It
Tuesday Throwdown 439 - Stripes

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a good weekend.

Lynne x

What a beautifully soft and delicate girly creation Lynne. Looks like a great festival, I always wonder how they cope in the heat in those costumes in Barcelona day in and day out.

I love your card. LOTV is fantastic. I do miss their papers. Yours are absolutely beautiful.

I would have liked to see some of those costumes in person. They are very elaborate. [Bunny]````

Beautiful. I love heat embossing, but don't use it often enough. Elaine

What a charming card Lynne, I have a real fondness for the older LOTV style and the delicate colours suit them so well. Fantastic photos of the Steampunk festival xx
