ANYTHING GOES AT CHRISTMAS CUTIES

Good Morning All,

I hope you have had a good weekend, really windy here in my part of the UK for the last couple of days, but I think today will be the best day, sunny and warm.

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and it is Anything Cute and Christmas Goes with the optional Ribbons and Bows.

For my DT card I have used the cute Stamping Bella gnome stamp called "One Sip Too Many".  I've coloured him with copics and used a MFT background stamp on the red backing paper, heat embossed in white.  The sentiment is computer generated.

FAVOURITE EMBELLISHMENTS AT AYLI

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and for this fortnight we would like to see your favourite embellishments on a project.

I love to add pearls, flowers and lace/ribbon on cards, more so on special occasion or, as in this case, "BIG" birthday cards.  I think they make them a little bit special and they stand out more from the rest of the cards received.

This is a card made for a friend with Maja design papers hand stitched round the edges and all the embellies added, together with a chipboard decoration. I've heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto vellum to match the gold numbers.

HAVE YOUR SELFIE

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well and had a good weekend.  I thought I would have a play with a sketch challenge and have made this card with the Christmas Selfies set from MFT.

This is the sketch

I stamped the little elf and then coloured him with copics, cut him out with a stitched rectangle and layered him up as near as I could to the sketch.  The sentiment comes with the stamp sent and this has been heat embossed in white onto a stitched banner. 

I have used a red base card as it went well with the colour scheme. I have used snippets for all parts of the card.

PURPLE AND ? AT AYLI

Good Morning Everyone,

A new challenge at As You Like It starts today and we would like to see your projects using your favourite colour to go with purple.

I have chosen green for my DT card.  I do love purple flowers so thought green was the obvious choice and I thought I would have a go at an all over flower card.  I have embossed the images, which are from Altenew Peony Bouquet, in gold and coloured them with Zig clean colour brush pens.  I am still a novice with the pens, but do like using them for florals.

The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine.  I embossed it onto vellum, but didn't like seeing the images underneath on this one as the leaves were quite busy, so I cut a piece of the card the same size to attach with the vellum.  Tiny crystals and sequins have been added for a little sparkle.

RIBBON, LACE OR TWINE

Good Morning Everyone,

As it is the 1st of the month it is time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Forum and the theme  this month is "Use Ribbon, Lace or Twine" on your Christmas projects.

For my DT card I have used Pion Design papers, distressed all round,  and added the embellishments of lace, twine and die cut poinsettia and foliage.  The foliage is from a Sizzix Tim Holtz set and the flower is from Spellbinders.  I've also added glitter to the flower and foliage.

RED AND GREEN

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is "Red and Green" as well as cute.  The sponsor, My Besties, has kindly provided the DT with images, one of which is on my card below.

I have used this cutie called I Heart Hot Cocoa and coloured her with copics and used a freebie sentiment from Desert Diva.  The poinsettia is made with a Spellbinders die and a Tattered Lace die has been used for the white mat.

I have used snippets for the red and white mats and also for the poinsettia so will be entering this into Pixie's Snippets Playground.

FAVOURITE NON-BIRTHDAY OCCASION

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.  It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and this time we would like to see your favourite non-birthday occasion on your projects.

I love making Christmas and new baby cards and because my daughter asked me to make her a card, this is the occasion I have chosen.  I have used a cute LOTV image coloured with copics and also old LOTV papers. I have used Memory box dies for the letters and added embellies by way of flowers, pearls, lace and ribbon.  The sentiment is also a LOTV stamp.
