CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES - CHRISTMAS ANIMALS

Morning Everyone

It's time for the start of another challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme for you to play with is "Christmas Animals".

The sponsor for the challenge is Pink Gem Designs who kindly provided us with images and this is the card I've made with "Hedgy in Hat".

I've used the pre-coloured image for quickness and layered him up on a mixture of green and blue papers to match his hat.  Crispy ribbon, a few pearls and a sentiment stamped in metallic silver finish it off.

If you'd like to visit the challenge here you'll be able to see the lovely projects from the rest of the design team.  I hope you can join us this time as it's getting closer!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Come and Get It - Anything Goes
Gem of a Challenge - Fun Outside
Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Aud Sentiments - Use a 2 word sentiment
Ribbon Girl - Any Image
Sparkles Christmas Challenge - Christmas Animals
The Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes

Have a good week and happy crafting.

AS YOU LIKE IT DT - FAVE PAPER PAD

Morning Everyone

I hope you are having a good week.  I am back today with a totally different card from my last post.  It is time for another challenge at As You Like It and the theme this fortnight is to showcase a project using your favourite paper pad.

All my favourite pads seem to be Christmas ones! I love this Silent Night paper from First Edition as they look very wintery and cold with quite a lot of glitter on them.  In fact, it's a shame to cover some of them up.  The sheet on my second layer is a very pale blue with glittery patterns so I haven't used much in the way of embellishments.  I heat embossed the sentiment, which is from a new A5 set from LOTV, in silver and distressed the edges of the papers.  A small frosty looking flower has been added to both corners with a few silver and white stamens.

The sponsor for the challenge is

with a stamp set and a 6 x 6 paper pad for the lucky winner!

If you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the team.  Hope you can play along!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Glitter n Sparkle - Embossing
Fab n Funky - Floral embellishments
Penny Black at Allsorts - Get Ready for Christmas

Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting.  I do love to read your comments, they are much appreciated.

SANTA'S ELF

Morning Everyone

I have a fun card to share today.  I bought Santa's Elves by My Favourite Things recently and have been having a play with them.  I didn't treat myself to the matching dies and wish I had now, perhaps I'll put them on my wish list :).

This is the first one I coloured up and wanted to try something different to the normal christmas combinations.

I coloured him with copics before I looked for any paper, but luckily found one sheet that matched perfectly.  The card is only small, A6 I think.  I cut him out on a stitched circle and then decided to use the presents too so instead of stamping them on the circle I stamped them on a scrap and fussy cut them out.  I didn't want to mess it up at the last minute!

I know they're not traditional colours for a christmas card, but I'm pleased with how it's turned out.  The next one is already inked up in red and green.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Ribbon Girl - Any Image
Dragonfly Dreams - Patterned Paper
Creative Inspirations - Seasonal
Cute Card Thursday - Add a Banner/flags
Creative Knockouts - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - Anything Goes

I'll be back on Thursday and, in the meantime, I hope you are keeping well and thank you for visiting.
I love to read any comments you may wish to leave.

PRETTY POINSETTIA

Morning Everyone

I've made this card for the LOTV Facebook challenge, which is a colour challenge including red and green so I thought a christmas card would be ideal.

I've coloured her up with copics almost the same as on a previous card, except for her scarf, and added a snowflake border die, glitter and stickles.   The papers are First Edition.  The stamp is discontinued now, but you can still buy it from the LOTV outlet shop on Ebay.

My daughter came out of hospital last Thursday.  She'd torn some tissue in her neck and cracked a couple of ribs so thankfully it wasn't too bad in the end.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

The Crafty Addicts - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Use at least 2 DPs
Dragonfly Dreams - Patterned paper
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Ribbon Girl - Any Card
Polkadoodles - Anything Goes

Have a good week and thank you for visiting.  If you have time to leave a comment it is much appreciated.

AYLI DT - FLORA OR FAUNA

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all having a good week.  Mine's not been so good.  My daughter fainted whilst coming down the stairs on Monday night and banged her head at the bottom.  We spent over 10 hours in A&E   before being transferred to a ward. I arrived back home at 8 a.m. in the morning, had an hour or so sleep, then went back for another 2 hours and she's still waiting for an MRI scan whilst I am typing.  It was horrendous in A&E with ambulance crews having to queue in corridors with their patients until a bed became free.  No wonder they take a long time to arrive sometimes, they're all queuing in the hospital! This isn't a rant about the crews, they do a great job, it's the system and how they're so short staffed etc etc.

Anyway moaning bit over, it's time for another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite Flora or Fauna (and don't forget to tell us why it is your favourite please).

I do love both, but nearly always tend to colour Fauna rather than flowers as they are cuter and I do like cute.  My little cuties do often tend to be holding flowers though as in the card I made for this challenge.  Generally, I use flowers more as an embellishment.

I used a fairly old LOTV Posy Trio stamp, but only 2 of them, coloured with copics and a LOTV sentiment.  I cut part of the front of the card off and shaped both edges with the Die-namics stitched scallop basic edges 2 set.  The paper is from the Works and little sequins were added to match.

The sponsor for the challenge is

If you would like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the design team.

I would like to welcome and thank another new follower Babs for joining me.  I hope you enjoy seeing my makes.

Challenges for this card are:

Dream Valley - Use a Stamp or Digi Image
The Ribbon Girl - Any Card
In the Pink - Anything Goes
2 Crafty Critter Crazies - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes

Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting.  If you have time to leave a comment that would be nice, I do love to read them and they are much appreciated.
