HENNAH ELEMENTS

 Morning Everyone

I wanted to enter the challenge over at Seven Hill Crafts where the theme is to use Shades of Autumn as shown on the chart below.

I decided to use Hennah Elements from Altenew which I've coloured with copics.  I was only going to fussy cut a couple of them but after an inking hiccup had to cut the already stamped ones out and start again so they all ended up being fussy cut.  The upside to that was that I could manoeuvre them whichever way I wanted and this is how it ended up.  The sentiment has been heat embossed in white and I've added a could of enamel dots for a bit of interest.

This is the palette for the colours:

So I would like to enter:

SevenHills Crafts - Shades of Autumn
Creative Knockouts - All Stitched Up (square stitched die used)
Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes
Digichoosday - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Anything Goes

It looks as though it's going to be a sunny day here today after quite a chilly start so I may do some tidying up in the garden.  Have a good weekend whatever you may be doing.

WITH SYMPATHY

 Morning Everyone,

This is a card I've had in my drafts for a few weeks.  Not the sort of card you like to make but I felt as though I had to as the person who would read it does like to receive my cards.

I was short of ideas at the time so had a browse through Pinterest and this is what I came up with.
I cut a rectangular template with a die and inked three shades of blue through it.  The silhouette stamps are old ones from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set. It was cut out with a stitched rectangle die and glued onto black card.

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Get Well/With Sympathy
Classic Design - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and have a good day.

FAVOURITE DIE?

Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It  and we are asking you to share a project using your favourite die or punch if you don't have any dies.

I love all my mini scalloped dies.  I have circles and squares as well as my edger dies which come in a variety of shapes.  I think they add a bit of interest to a card without being overpowering.

I have used one on this card with a snippet of spotty paper underneath.  The floral cluster and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp.  I have fussy cut the flowers to add onto the scalloped piece and made a few more enamel type dots to match with a circles die and glossy accents.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I look forward to seeing your lovely entries and have a good rest of the week.

WINTER FLORA

 Morning Everyone,

As part of my crafty day yesterday I managed to finish the image on my card below and get it made onto a card.

It is a digi image called Winter Flora from Power Poppy and when I had finished colouring with copics I thought it warranted an older style paper so out came my First Edition papers called A Christmas Story. I have matted all layers with a gold paper and also heat embossed the sentiment from LOTV in gold.  I was a bit worried how the sentiment would turn out as it is a grey rubber one so had to have a practice on a piece of scrap first to make sure it was straight.

The card doesn't look it's best in the photo, but I can assure you everything is straight.  I think it's the dotty paper that gives the impression that it looks a bit wonky.

I would like to enter:

We Love Stamping - hand coloured image
ABC Christmas - Traditional Christmas colours
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes
Love Those Pretty Papers - Anything Goes using patterned paper

Thank you for your visit and I will be back later in the week.

HO HO HO

 Hello Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  It's been such a miserable day here today I've been having a play in the craft room and managed to get two cards finished.

I have a basket of unused stamps and after having a search through it I thought I would colour this stamp up.

It's from a rubber set by LOTV called North Pole and I haven't used any of them!  The stamp isn't that big so the finished card is a C6 size.  I have coloured with copics to match the little snippets of paper top and bottom and used my mini scalloped die to edge the image and a red mat for the whole thing.  Liquid pearls and glitter have also been used.

I would like to enter:

Peace on Earth challenge- Anything Goes Christmas (I have used the colours from the inspiration board)
PIP challenge 2436 - Anything Goes
Classic Design - Anything Goes
We Love Stamping - Hand Coloured Image

Thank you for stopping by and I will be back soon.

LAYERED OR FLAT?

Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well.  We're just getting over anotthr bout of Covid in our house for the second time and just beginning to come out of it now.

I haven't felt like crafting much but did manage to make this simple card for the new challenge over at   As You Like It where we would like to see your favourite of either layered or flat projects.

My cards always have layers even if, like this one, they are flat enough to go normal letter size.  I only tend to go bigger if I know a card is going to be hand delivered.  I have used a precoloured image from an old LOTV art pad and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment is from a Penny Black set and heat embossed in gold and the papers are also old LOTV.
