METALLICS AT CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS

 Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is "Metallics".

For my card I have used Dee's Distinctively bell dies cut in gold mirri card and layered with  snippets of cream papers.  I have used oddments of greens for the foliage and cut a circle of Christmas music sheet for them all to rest on.

There are 3 prizes on offer and still plenty of time to enter until the deadline which is Tuesday, 10th October.

ORANGE BLOOMS

Morning Everyone,

Another card made using my Zig markers.  This is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Look for the Rainbows.

I have heat embossed in gold and used my orange and green markers to colour.  Looking at the photo now I wish I had made the cut off with the spotted paper lower down, but it does look better in real life.  Orange ribbon and gold sparklies finish it off and the gold sentiment is from a Penny Black set.

FAVOURITE HARVEST COLOURS?

Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking you for your favourite Harvest colours. 

Well Harvest time and Autumn time are pretty similar to me and I love how the trees change colour some into deep reds, some golds and oranges.  They make them look gorgeous, especially when you see a group together they look beautiful in their deep rich colours.

I have chosen to colour this cute little fox which I won recently from Di's Digi Designs.  I have coloured with copics and added a mini scalloped border and some faux leaves from my stash.

MASCULINE BIRTHDAY

 Morning Everyone,

I am sharing a simple card today made with my Hunky-dory Woodland Animals paper pad.

I have backed everything with kraft card and used stitched dies to cut all elements.  The pad is really good for easy male cards as I would say all the animals are more masculine and the fab papers match so well with the images.

LOVELY LAYERS PEONY

Morning Everyone,

This is my second card that was half made on my desk and I've finally managed to finish it today.  Everything was coloured. I just needed to find a sentiment and decide on the layout. 

The dies are by Honey Bee stamps from Dies to Die For called Lovely Layers Peony.  I have coloured the flowers with copics and the leaves with zigs for a more water colour effect.  The sentiment die is from Whimsy stamps and it doesn't get used very often as it is quite large.

DIE CUT BLOSSOMS

 Hello Everyone,

When I saw that a couple of challenges were asking for die cuts on their entries it inspired me to finish off two half made cards that had been sat on my desk for a while.  I don't know if anyone else starts a card and then goes onto something else, but it seems to be one of my bad habits.

This is my card and the dies are from Stampin Up, called Many Layered Blossoms.  I'd seen quite a few in different colours on Pinterest so thought I'd give it a go.  Not as easy as I thought it would be.  I coloured it all with my Prismacolor markers, but you have to be careful to get the colours underneath in the right place so they don't overlap when you add the top die.  A few sequins and a gold embossed sentiment finish it off.

 Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at the Cutie Pie challenge and the theme is Birthdays and/or Bears, but remember it must be cute.

For my card I have coloured an adorable panda from Di's Digidesigns with copics.  The papers are from an Authentique paper pad and the sentiment from LOTV.  The Cutie Pie challenge is 12 years old this month and there is a prize on offer for one lucky winner as shown below.

AUTUMN OR WINTER AT AYLI

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It and the we are asking whether you prefer Autumn or Winter.

Crafting wise I prefer to make winter/Christmas cards.  They are the type where you have a good reason to use glitter, even though it never shows up very well on photos!  On this card I have used glitter on the trees and glitter and stickles on the snow.  

When I first started making cards, and didn't have many dies, I bought a few die cuts from eBay and these houses were one of those sets so I'm not sure of the make, but I have coloured them with copics and added them to a piece of paper from a Whimsy stamps pad.  I've heat embossed the sentiment in white and it is from Inkylicious (I think!).
