PATTERNED PAPER

 Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is Patterned Paper.

For my card I decided to cut into 2 co-ordinating sheets from a pad not used before from Wild Rose Studio.  I die cut 4 stitched squares and adhered them to some teal card. The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto vellum.  I've torn the edges and added across the centre.  The photo doesn't show the sentiment up very well, but in real life it is a lot clearer.
There are 3 prizes on offer this time and there's still plenty of time to enter.  The deadline is Tuesday 9th August so I hope you can join in with this easy theme.

I would like to enter:

Rudolph Days July challenge - Anything Christmas
Creative Knockouts - Christmas in July
Dream Valley - Christmas in July
Papercraft challenge - Christmas in July

I am looking after my grandson today.  It's going to be one day a week to save on childcare costs so we will have to see how it goes.  I'll probably be in bed by 9 :) worn out!

Thank you for visiting.

SUMMER BLOOMS

Good Afternoon All,

I have just finished this card from the weekend.

It is a LOTV image recently bought in their sale and I have coloured him with copics. I've used my notched square dies for the whole card and added twine and an old pre-printed sentiment.  The paper is from a Lawn Fawn rainbow colours pad.

I would like to enter:

Passion for Markers - Beginning with B (Bear, blooms and butterflies)
Allsorts - Summer (bright sunny colours and summer flowers)
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Critter Crazy - Anything with a Critter

Thank you for visiting, have a good week, and I'll be back on Wednesday.

SANTA BALLOON

 Afternoon All,

I like to try and enter the CAS Christmas card challenge each month and, although I am flying in at the last minute, this is my effort for July where the theme is Santa.

I've had these balloon images from Clearly Besotted for years and this is their first outing.  I stamped the images on the die cut rectangle and, because my pens didn't work well on that type of card, I stamped them again onto copic friendly card, coloured and fussy cut to adhere to the die cut.  The sentiment is from the same set.

I would like to enter:

PIP Challenge 2229 - Anything Goes
Less is More - Traditional Christmas
ABC Christmas - O is for old stamp set
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and whatever you may be doing, I hope you have a good weekend.

FUR, FEATHERS OR SCALES

 Good Morning Everyone,

A new challenge is starting at As You Like It and we are asking which you prefer out of Fur, Feathers or Scales.

I have chosen fur both colouring wise and in real life.  There are so many cute images to colour and when our two dogs have been groomed they are just so soft and fluffy.

I have used a Whimsy stamps digi image called Christmas Mouse, coloured with copics.  I don't think the pens agree with the heat we've had lately as they weren't working that well and getting a bit sticky.

I cut a piece of white card the same size as the base and used snippets of Christmas papers in reds and greens for the background. I inked the edges of the stitched rectangle with a red pen and then adhered to the background.  The little snowflakes on the bauble were heat embossed in white.

We hope you can join in and show us your favourite out of the 3 possibilities.

I would like to enter:

ABC Christmas - O for Old (background papers)
Snippets Playground - Christmas snippets used for the background
Allsorts - Christmas in July
DisDigidesign challenge - Christmas in July
Papercraft challenge - Christmas in July

Thank you for visiting and I am pleased it's getting a bit cooler here in the UK.  I don't feel like doing anything when the temperature is so high, not even crafting!

LITTLE CHEERLEADER

 Morning Everyone,

It is time for the start of a new challenge over at the Cutie Pies and the theme is Little Cuties (card for a child).

I have coloured up this cute little cheerleader from LOTV with copics.  It was for my niece who is 7 and goes to cheerleading classes.  I have used my large alphabet dies from Stampin Up and cut them with snippets of paper to match the image.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

Red Squirrel

Hello All,

I'm pleased it has cooled down a bit here today. Yesterday was not good for me, much too hot.

I've been making a few cards lately to raise money for our local village hall and have been using pre-printed images for quickness.  This card is one of them.

The image and papers are from a Woodland Animals paper pad by Hunky-dory and I've used an old ready made sentiment with a scalloped circle behind. The pad is great for this type of thing as the papers match the images instead of having to rummage through your stash to find something to match, which is what often takes me longer than making the actual card!

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - All sorts of animals
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes
Critter Crazy - Anything goes with a Critter

Thank you for visiting and have a good day.

COOL OR WARM COLOURS?

Morning Everyone,

It's time for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and we are asking whether you prefer cool or warm colours and to show these on your projects.  There is a colour wheel on the challenge here for you to see.

My favourite colour has always been blue, but more recently I seem to chose purple/lilac over anything, especially when colouring flowers so I must favour the cool side of the wheel.   I have die cut these Simon Says Etched Crocus dies and coloured them with Distress Oxides.  I must say they don't really look like the crocus we have in the garden so I thought I'd be able to use them any time of year.  They have been adhered to a Sizzix oval and the edgers I've used also come from the same set.

The sentiment is from MFT and I've inked up a snippet of white with the same blue ink and then heat embossed in white.

The sponsor for this challenge is:

with a prize for the lucky winner

I would like to enter:

Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Snippets Playground - White snippets used for the flowers and sentiment

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will be able to pop over and look at the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Morning Everyone,

Just sharing a quick card made with an old LOTV art pad image.

I've cut it out with a Spellbinders large oval die and rummaged through my papers to find something that goes with the image.  I've added a strip of crinkly edged sheer ribbon, pearls and a sentiment from LOTV. I think that's the last of the ribbon, which I really do like but not sure where it was from.

I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Flora and/or fauna
Crafty Calendar - Add ribbon
Simon Says Weds - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and have a good week.
