BABY GIRL

 Morning Everyone,

Another request from my daughter for a baby card, I have one more to do, but that's not due until August.  I'm just pleased that she likes them enough to ask me to make them.

This is another LOTV image on a 8x8 card.   I do like their baby images, they are so cute.  I have coloured her with copics and used papers to match, also from old LOTV paper pads. The dies are from Spellbinders, Stampin Up and Hunkydory.

MONEY WALLET

 Morning Everyone,

Back again and this time it is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It where we would like to see your favourite way to decorate a money wallet or gift card holder.

When we give money for birthdays it always goes in the birthday card (not through the post though) so if I do make a money wallet it is always at Christmas time when cards have already been sent and the wallet doesn't get opened until Christmas day.

I have made a pretty pink one here for one of the girls with a sheet from a First Edition 8"x8" pad.  I followed the basic instructions on a Youtube video and made a band to keep it closed with a Spellbinders poinsettia attached, which I have decorated with glitter and pearls.  The Merry Christmas is stamped in metallic silver.

Happy Birthday

Hello Again,

Another card to enter into the Allsorts 13th Birthday celebrations.  This is a Stampin Up Die which I cut into the stitched square and then used distress inks with sponge daubers to colour in the flowers and leaves. 

I had to keep putting the die cut back to make sure the colours were all in the correct place and when that was finished I glued the die cut back in place and stamped the sentiment in silver underneath.  A few clear raindrops finished it off.

TWO COLOURS

Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme this month is 'Two Colours'.

When I made this card earlier in the year I had some leftover embossing that hadn't taken too well and, knowing that this theme was coming up, I made my DT card from what was retrievable.  

I cut three small circles with stitched dies and arranged them around the sentiment, which is heat embossed in silver and gold. I matted onto gold sheen cardstock and added a few sparklies. 

There are two stamps on offer for the winner and you have until 7th June to enter so plenty of time to join in.

SHAKER CARD

Morning Everyone,

Having said I had never made a shaker card before I decided to make one for the Grandon's birthday, albeit a fairly simple one.

He's in his teens now and only really into gaming but seeing as his previous ones have been on that subject, I decided on something different. I cut 3 star shapes and made the largest one into the shaker part with foam tape, added the sequin mix and also stuck a small 14 in the top of the star.  Snippets of paper were added under the other 2  and a blue star also glued to the card.  The sentiment is a Gummiapan die cut a few times for a bit of depth.

It's a pretty dull day here, but means I can go and finish planting in the garden. I don't like it being too warm for that sort of work.  Whatever you're doing today have a good one and thank you for taking the time to visit.

FAVOURITE FOOD?

 Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking you to share a creation relating to your favourite food.

I love anything sweet whether it be cake or chocolate, anything really.  If we go out for a meal I'd much rather have a dessert than a starter (can't manage 3 courses nowadays!).

For my DT card I have used images from the MFT stamp set called Mice Day to Celebrate.  I chose the paper first and then coloured the images with copics.  I decided on a fairly plain design as the image, when cut with a stitched square, was quite large.  I inked around the edge of the square with red ink to go with the paper.
