MORE EMBOSSED CHRISTMAS CARDS

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend.  We went out for Sunday lunch yesterday, which was really nice, but other than that it was a fairly quiet one for us.

When I made my last card I decided to use the inner part of the stamp for a smaller card.  I had a rummage in my snippets boxes and found this grey and red piece of card to use.

The cards are only 4" square.  I have heat embossed in white and gold and cut them out with a stitched square die.  The 'Merry'  has been cut from snippets of mirri card and and also a  heat embossed small 'Christmas' sentiment.

HEAT EMBOSSING

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good week.  This is my reminder post for Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is heat embossing.

I have embossed my Christmas icons stamp in gold, heat embossed the Merry and used a die from Whimsy stamps for the word Christmas in gold mirri card.  Mirri card has been used for the mat too.
An easy card (if the heat embossing goes well) and fairly quick to make too.

I hope you can join us this month and get those cards made in advance.

LET'S BE MERRY

 Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you for your comments on my last post.  My little pooch has an ulcer on his eye and we have to keep putting drops in.  Hopefully it will clear it up, but if not, another visit to the vets it will be.

I've made a cas Christmas card following the prompt from the CAS Christmas challenge which is "Snowman".

I have used one of my favourite little snowmen from Mo Manning, coloured with copics and fussy cut.  I then attached it to a stitched square which has been embossed with a snowflake from Stampin Up.  The sentiment has been stamped in metallic silver and is from Paper Smooches.

FAVOURITE TIP AT AYLI

 Good Morning Everyone,

I'm a little late with my DT post today as I hadn't prepared it  last night and this morning we had to take one of little dogs to the vet as he has a problem with his eye.

Anyway I'm back now with my card for As You Like It where we are asking you to share your favourite tip and to demonstrate it on your project.

Mine is to make the most of your dies where you can by extending them.  This background die from Reverse Confetti is a rectangular one, but it is just the correct height for square cards, which I prefer to make.  So by partial cutting and then extending it you can make it into a square.  I do this quite a bit with stitched  border dies if I don't have the right size in my squares or rectangles.

My flowers are from Clearly Besotted and I've coloured them with copics, fussy cut them,  and used a LOTV sentiment.  A few small bubbles have also been added although they look like pearls in the photo.

THE BEAR ESSENTIALS

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend. We have a new challenge over at the Cutie Pie challenge where we would like to see your cute bears.

For my card I have used an image kindly provided by the sponsor Lee Holland and coloured him with copics.  The papers are old LOTV as is the sentiment and I have used Memory box clouds and a Hunkydory flower die.

I hope you will be able to join us, but remember it must be cute to qualify for the prize from our sponsor.

FULLY FUSSY OR CAS?

Good Morning Everyone,

There is a new challenge over at As You Like It today and we would like to see a project showing us whether you prefer Fully Fussy or Clean & Simple.

I think my style is normally in between the two extremes, but just lately I've been trying a few more CAS cards, especially Christmas ones due to postage, so I thought I'd have a go at a birthday one.

I've die cut the flowers and 'Sending' from a discarded inky background which I didn't really like so I'm pleased I've found a use for that.  Both are from Simon Says stamp and the 'birthday wishes' from Kaisercraft has been stamped in metallic silver and cut out with a stitched rectangle. I've used white linen cardstock to make the base so it matched the die cut square.  I couldn't resist adding 3 little bubbles.

The sponsor is:

with a voucher for the lucky winner

Just as an aside, has everyone's Reading List changed to a small box at the top of the page?  I used the list quite a bit for looking at challenges etc. but with this new box being so small I can hardly see what they say. It's so annoying!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Creations in Pink - AG mainly in pink
Time Out - Spring has sprung
Creatalicious 212 - Anything Goes

Have a good day.  I will be finishing off planting up some of my pots as today looks as though it might be a bit cooler.  I can't work in the full sun, then having a game of tennis with some friends.

Thank you for visiting and take care.
