MARCH RUDOLPH DAYS

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a card I made a while ago when I was playing with my Colorado Craft Co. large bauble.  It was one where the embossing hadn't gone very well so I decided to cut it down and fussy cut it out.

I added it to an A6 piece of hammered cardstock and then drew a border with my Versamark pen and heat embossed it in silver.  The sentiment is heat embossed and is from LOTV.

BLACK AND WHITE

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a card I made for a birthday for a lady who had lost her husband a few weeks before.  I didn't want to send her one that said Happy Birthday so this is what I made.

I stamped the flowers and leaves, which are from A Beautiful Day set from Altenew, onto snippets of white card and fussy cut them out.  I used a MFT mini scalloped die for the top part and stamped a sentiment from LOTV.  The patterned paper was an oddment in my drawer.  Sequins and a little die cut in the corner finished it off.

FAVOURITE SPRING CRITTER

 Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for the start of a new challenge over at As You Like It and this time we would like to see projects featuring your favourite Spring animal.

It was hard for me to decide, but I do have a lot more cute bunny images that any other of the Spring cuties so that made my decision a lot easier.  I have used a Whimsy stamps image called Springtime and coloured with copics.  My papers are a mixture from my stash and I have distressed all the edges and added lace, pearls and ribbon.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS

I've been a bit lazy with this one as no colouring involved, but just decided to use some lovely paper from Wild Rose Studio.  The Christmas die cut is from Whimsy Stamps and I've added three sequins which for some reason look very dark in the photo, but they are red.

CONIE FONG GUEST DT TAKE 2

Good Morning Everyone,

This is my second card as Guest DT for Conie Fong using the cute Tori the Dragon-Up. You can find the image here in the Etsy store.

                          

I really enjoyed colouring this little fella and was quite pleased with how he turned out.  I coloured him with copics and used my MFT mini cloud stencil for the background.  The paper is from a MFT pad and the sentiment is computer generated.

CAS CHRISTMAS

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you're having a good weekend.  I've tried another CAS card and this one is for the CAS Christmas challenge where they are celebrating their 3rd birthday.  

The theme is kraft, red and white.  I have used my stag's head die and cut two of them, one in kraft and the other in red and slightly offset the two so you can see some of the red.  The sentiment has been stamped in Stampin Up Rose Red. I must admit I did find this harder to make than some of my more fancier cards, but  CAS cards are great for posting.

CRAFTY CAT

 Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It where we are asking you to show us your favourite way to cut out images, i.e. fussy cut, dies or with a cutting machine.  

I only tend to fussy cut easy images, i.e. ones without little fiddly bits on.  If they are too fiddly I always end up creasing them somewhere and they look a mess.  My favourite way is with a die as on my card above.  A die makes it so much easier and stitched dies are a particular favourite. 

For my DT card I have used a Saturated Canary image called Crafty Cat and coloured with copics.  The outer die is from Craft Consortium and the papers from a First Edition pad.  This card is for my sister in law and is 7"x 7".  I try to make them a bit special for family and have added flowers and a pretty bow. The tags are from Mama Elephant.

CONIE FONG GUEST DT

Good Morning Everyone,

I am excited to say that I have been asked to be a Guest Designer on the Conie Fong facebook group for the next two months and this is my first card.

I have used Flutterby Daisy which can be found here on Etsy where she does have some lovely images.

I have coloured with copics and used a stitched circle to cut her out and then layered this onto a Tattered Lace fancy circle.  The papers are old ones from LOTV and I've used two tiny tags from Mama Elephant.

ONE LAYER CARD

Good Morning Everyone,

CAS AT SPARKLES CHRISTMAS

 Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  As it is the 1st of the month it is time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas and this month the theme is CAS.

 For my DT card I decided to use these cute penguins from Stamping Bella. I've coloured them with copics, fussy cut them and stuck them onto a hammered card mini scalloped square.  The sentiment comes with the stamp and I've just added four little snowflakes and some glitter glue for the snow. I have also embossed a border around the edges, but you can't really see it in the photo.
