FEBRUARY RUDOLPH DAYS

 Good Morning Everyone,

This is my entry for this month's Rudolph Days challenge.

It has been sat in my drafts since December so I thought I'd better share. The reason it hasn't been seen was because I wasn't very happy with the final result, but seeing as this is a short month it has had to come out to play.

I bought these small kraft cards a while ago as I wanted to have a go at making some rustic cards, but it didn't work out.  I don't think I'm a rustic kind of person.  I used a snippet of the gorgeous snowflake paper and cut 3 strips with stitched dies and also used snippets for the deer head and the circular layers.  I then embossed the sentiment in bronze, a very simple card.

It's a lovely sunny day here and makes you think Spring is finally on it's way (and it makes hubby happy as we're generating with our solar panels).   Thank you for visiting and I will be back with a DT card tomorrow.

BABY CARD

Good Morning Everyone,

I am back with a DT card for the new As You Like It challenge where we are asking for your favourite reason to send a card.

I don't get to send many of these, but I do love making baby cards.  It is such a joyous occasion for the parents and so nice to send them a handmade card and I'm sure most people do save their baby cards.
This is another my daughter asked me to make for a friend who loves the shabby chic style.

I have coloured the LOTV image with copics and cut it out with a sizzix oval die.  I've distressed and hand stitched the edges of the Maja Design paper and added all the embellishments including a small metal dummy, lace, flowers, chipboard hearts and pearls.

BLUE & SILVER

 Good Morning Everyone,

I'm back for the reminder post at Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is "Blue & Silver".

For my card I have used the big and bold Christmas Bauble from the Colorado Craft Company.  I have heat embossed this in silver and used Stampin Up Bashful Blue and Night of Navy for the background.  The sentiment comes with the stamp and I've added 9 sparklies for extra interest.

If you pop over to the blog you'll be able to see the inspiration from the rest of the team.

I would like to enter:

SPRING FLOWERS

Good Morning Everyone,

I was looking for a card to send someone the other day and realised I am short of birthday cards so this is one I have made over the weekend as a start to replenish my stock.

It is a Conie Fong image called Spring Flowers, which I have coloured with copics and cut out with a Spellbinder fancy oval die.  The flowered and green papers are from LOTV and the blue is a snippet found in one of my boxes.  The embellishments are also made up of snippets, i.e. the labels which are from Mama Elephant, the flower and the little butterfly.

I originally made this for a 6" card but when I tried it on a 7" I thought it look a lot better with a large white border.

I would like to enter:

Passion for Markers - Use 3 or more papers
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Favourite technique (die cutting)
Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper - Use patterned paper
Classic Design challenge - Anything Goes

HEARTS & FLOWERS AT THE CUTIES

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are keeping well. As I am typing this the snow has just about gone and it is quite a foggy and damp morning, but I think temperatures are going to rise a bit this week so that will be better than the freezing cold.

Today is the start of a new challenge at The Cutie Pies and the theme is Hearts and Flowers - Valentines/Mother's Day cards

For my DT card I have used a LOTV image and coloured with copics.  I have hand stitched around the edges which are very slightly distressed.  The image has been cut out with a Tattered Lace die and the larger butterfly is from Memory Box.

FEELING CAS

 Good Morning Everyone,

No DT card today, just one I've made after seeing a few challenges to enter.

This little chap is a Mo Manning image which I've coloured with copics.  I have fussy cut him and attached to a linen card panel with a mini scalloped edge.  I have embossed around the edges with an embossing tool for a bit more interest.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and is from a Mama Elephant set.

I would like to enter:

Mo's Digital Pencil - Anything Goes with a Mo image
Less is More - Colour Chocolate
Creative Inspirations - Animal Antics
Crafty Friends - Animal/birds

Thank you for visiting.  Still very cold here today, so the snow isn't melting much, but we haven't had as much as some areas thank goodness.  Stay safe and warm.

FAVOURITE TYPE OF STAMP

Good Morning Everyone,

There is a new challenge starting today at As You Like It  where we would like you to tell us your favourite type of stamp either digi, clear or rubber.

I, like most people, have some of each and they all have their good and bad points.  I like digital images because of their flexibility in sizing. Clear and rubber stamps allow you to heat emboss where digis don't and I prefer clear to rubber as they are much easier to see where you are stamping.  I think it also depends on your colouring medium too.

For my DT card I have used a Lili of the Valley digi, sized it to fit my 5" x 7" card and coloured with copics.  The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and is from Whimsy stamps.

When I saw Heather's card here  I thought it was a brilliant way of using up snippets so I asked her if she'd mind if I had a go and she said she wouldn't so this is my take on her design.  I have just used yellow and green snippets to go with the colours of the image and I must say it really does help to use us those little pieces.  Sometimes I wonder why I keep such small bits, but at least they've come in handy now.

SNOWMAN/MEN AT SPARKLES

 Good Morning Everyone,

I can't believe it's February already, even though we are in lockdown time just seem to fly by.  So, as it is the lst of the month it is time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this time it's all about Snowmen.

I am trying this year to use forgotten stamps/digis and, after trawling through my downloads, I found this cute snowman from Sassy Cheryl's.  I bought a few digis before they closed and this is one of them.  I have coloured him with copics to match the papers, which are from LOTV, and added stickles, liquid pearls and a die cut snowflake.   The sentiment is also a digital one, which I added at the time of printing.

I would like to enter:

C.R.A.F.T. - Christmas
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and stay safe.
