FRIENDS OR LOVE AT AYLI

 Good Morning Everyone,

I'm back today with my DT card for As You Like It where we are asking whether you prefer to make cards for Friends or Love.

I prefer to make for friends.  They know I've taken the time to make them and I like to make cards appropriate to them.  I have made this one with Stamping Bella Sweaty Chicks and the sentiment is so apt for the friend who will be receiving it.  She much prefers humorous cards to flowery ones.   A fairly simple card, I have added MFT ric rac die in colours to match the papers and also coloured the chicks with copics to match.

USE RIBBON OR TWINE

 Good Morning Everyone,

This is my reminder post for the current challenge at Christmas Craft Creations where the theme is "Use Ribbon or Twine".

For my card I have used the cute Balancing Mouse from Gerda Steiner which I bought with a voucher I received for my birthday.  I have coloured him and the bauble with copics and fussy cut them both.  I created the little scene with a small piece of lilac paper and some snippets of white hammered card which I tore into small slopes.  White glitter has been added to his hat and the slopes.  The small tree is heat embossed in white and the sentiment in silver.  After attaching the little mouse I added silver twine and a small sparkly.

I know by looking at photos you can't always tell how big a card is, but this is a small A6 size.  When I first went to a craft show and saw some of the cards I'd seen on the internet, I was amazed at how small they were!

I would like to enter:

Creative Inspirations - Animal Antics
Passion for Markers - Buttons and/or bows
Dream Valley - 4 legged friends
Pixie's Snippets Playground - the white hammered card and lilac background were snippets

I hope you like my little make and thank you for visiting.  I'll be back tomorrow.

FAVOURITE COLOUR DUO

 Good Morning Everyone,

We're back with a new challenge at As You Like It and we are asking you to show us your favourite colour duo.

I like many colour duos, but for this one have chosen yellow and green.  I think it is so fresh looking and reminds me of Spring.

I have used a Simon Says stamp called Bouquet of Thanks, stamped it with Memento London Fog ink and coloured with copics.  I've added a few sparkly dots, some green twine and the sentiment is stamped in silver metallic.

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  I don't know about anyone else, but all the days seem the same to me at the moment.

I'm here as it's the start of a new challenge over at The Cutie Pies and the theme is "The Boys are Back in Town" so as long as it's cute and boyish it'll be good.

I've made a card for my Grandson whose birthday is next month.  He's always playing on his games so I thought this image from Polkadoodles was very apt.  The card is larger than I would normally make, a C5 I think.  I have used lots of snippets from a Doodlebug pad on this one. The stripe in the middle was only about 3" long so I had to cut it in half to fit behind the image.  I've used star dies, a sentiment die and the little dots I made by cutting two small circles, embossing them and then adding glossy accents.

I hope you can join us for this first challenge of the year and we look forward to seeing your entries.

SNIPPETS TREES

Hello Everyone,

This is my card for Pixie's Snippets Playground.  I'd started making it before Christmas and had stuck the trees to a dark grey background.  Wasn't happy with it so it has been sat on my desk since then.

I decided to cut the trees out rather than waste them (that's why you can see a dark outline) and after placing them onto white card, I thought they looked a lot better, and carried on with the making of it yesterday.  I had originally been looking through my Christmas snippets box to see which papers would look ok with each other and came up with these.  I've attached them to hammered card, heat embossed the sentiment in silver and added liquid pearls here and there.  I've also added stickles in dots to the middle tree.

Not much crafting done here since Christmas, but I'm sure my mojo will come back soon, hopefully.

CHRISTMAS TREATS

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy New Year!

As it's the 1st of the month it's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas where the theme is Christmas Treats.

For my card I have used some of the stamps from a magazine freebie set by Rare Earth.  I have coloured them with copics and the paper at bottom is an oddment from a Doodlebug pad which also has lots of treats printed on it, although it's not very clear from the photo.  I have added two strips of ribbon from Stampin Up to divide the papers and used liquid pearls on some of the biscuits.

This will go in my Christmas card box as a starter for this year's pile and I hope you will be able to join in too and make an early start on your cards.

I would like to enter:

Christmas Kickstart - Anything Christmassy
Crafty Gals - Tis the Season
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Dream Valley - Christmas
Winter Wonderland - Christmas Sweet Treats

Thank you for visiting and whatever you will be doing, have a good one and stay safe.
