CATS OR DOGS?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and this time we are asking whether you prefer Cats or Dogs.

I have never owned a cat, although I know a lot of people who do, and seeing as we have two little dogs it has to be dogs for me.  I think they are so loyal and loving.  I know our two always follow hubby where ever he goes and love him to bits! They love me too, but I don't spoil them as much as he does :) .

For my DT card I have used a LOTV image called pup and mouse.  I have extended the flowers on either side on the computer and coloured it all with copics.  Two tiny butterflies have been added  and the Happy die is from MFT die-namics.

The sponsor for this challenge is:

with a prize for the lucky winner

Well my first trip to the supermarket went quite well on Monday, although my glasses did steam up a little from the mask, and it wasn't too busy which was good.

I would like to enter:

Penny's Paper Crafty 476 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Wed - Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes
CCC Digi Designs -  No patterned paper

Thank you for visiting and have a lovely weekend when it gets here.

CHRISTMAS ANIMALS

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is Christmas Animals, so all we need is cute, Christmas and animals :).

For my DT card I have used an image from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, coloured with copics.  I have added a die cut tree from Dee's Distinctively and a scrap of patterned paper cut with a stitched rectangle.  The mat is copper coloured soft sheen card and I have heat embossed the sentiment in copper too.

We are sponsored by:

with a prize for the lucky winner

I hope you will be able to join in this month and make a start on your cards.

I would like to enter this into:

July Rudolph Day's Challenge - Anything Christmas
Christmas Craft Creations - Christmas Characters
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Christmas in July wk 4

I am about to make my first trip to the supermarket today.  We have used click and collect throughout lockdown and I never thought I would say this, but I have actually missed having a browse round as it used to be a job I didn't like doing.  I will have to see how it goes.

Have a good week,

SUMMER OR AUTUMN?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and for this one we would like to see projects showing your favourite of either Summer or Autumn (and you must say why please).

I have chosen summer.  I'm not too keen on it being really hot, but I do love this time of year for the flowers being in full bloom and gardens being at their best.

I have used a Julie Hickey stamp set called Sunflower bee.  I started out by having a play with some texture stamps from Stampin Up in shades of yellow and brown.  The hexagon stamp comes with the set and also the bee which I first stamped on the card and then again to colour and cut out, then just stuck to the card without having to cut round the tiny legs etc.  If you're wondering why I didn't just colour it on the card, it was because I had some blotches from one of the stamps to cover.

I stamped the sunflower with a brown Memento ink, coloured with copics and fussy cut that out too.

I hope you can join us during the fortnight and the sponsor this time is:

I wold like to enter:

Penny Black & more - In the Garden
The Flower Challenge - Summer/winter

Dragonfly Dreams - No Patterned Paper

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you leave. I do love to read them.

FARM OR JUNGLE?

Good Morning Everyone,

Another post from me today and this time it is for the start of a new challenge at As You Like It.  We would like to see projects containing your favourite between Farm or Jungle animals.

I have chosen jungle purely because I have far more stamps/images of jungle animals than those that live on a farm and anyway, who can resist a cute elephant?

My stamp is from Kraftin' Kimmie called Party Animals.  I have coloured with copic markers and the papers are from an Echo Park pad called Birthday Wishes.  It was a partly used pad from a Facebook group and the seller had kindly left me all the snippets too in a little plastic bag.

I didn't have any blue paper  so I coloured round the edges of white card with a marker for the mats. The sentiment came in the stamp set and was cut with a stitched banner die and the balloons were also made from snippets of the same papers.

I hope you can join us this time and pop over to the challenge to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter:

Pixie's Snippets Playground - the balloons, sentiment, the red and hats dp and the 3 smaller mats were all snippets.
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
A Perfect Time to Craft - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles Craft - Anything Goes

The heavens have opened here just as I am typing this (Weds night) so the garden will have a good overnight watering which we really do need.

Have a good weekend, thank you for visiting and any comments you leave are much appreciated.

CHRISTMAS RECIPE

Good Morning All,

July already and I forgot to say "white rabbits" this morning!

I was searching through my stash for something to use for my DT card for this month's Sparkles Christmas challenge which is a Christmas Recipe (1 image, 2 background papers and 3 pearls/gems) when I found this card partly made on a shelf.  The reason it was partly made was because I wasn't happy with it at the time, not sure whether it was the colours or what, but I decided to finish it off as it fitted the recipe perfectly.

The image is from Pink Petticoat which is now the Lovely Studio.  I have coloured with copic markers and used papers from an old LOTV pad.  The gold ribbon was salvaged from a Christmas parcel last year.

I hope you can join us with this easy theme and get your Christmas cards started.

I would like to enter:

Have a good week,
