RHINO TOWER

Good Morning Everyone,

When I saw the sketch challenge over at MFT I instantly knew what I wanted to use for it. It's funny how some sketches hit you like that and some just don't appeal at all.

I have used a set from MFT called Birth-Yay, coloured them with copics, and used three scraps of paper in colours to match the toucan.  I've also added a tiny pearl to the cherry on the cake.  A fairly simple layout, but I had to add 2 enamel dots as I don't like seeing all that white space at the top. The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Versafine ink.

This is the sketch:

JUNE RUDOLPH DAYS

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a good weekend. Very windy here today, but far better than the overpowering heat we had a couple of days ago.

I have upcycled another card for the June Rudolph Days challenge.

The card front was very plain so I drew around a square die and then added gold peel-off borders over the lines.   This was then stuck on to a gold mirri mat.

A quick and easy card for the Rudolph Days challenge.  I don't upcycle many cards, but there are some where I like the image and it seems a shame to waste them and I did love the colour of this one too.

So I would like to enter:

Thank you for visiting and I will be back soon.

2 OR MORE PATTERNED PAPERS

Good Morning Everyone,

It looks as though we are going to be having a warm week here in the UK, probably a bit too warm to be doing much, but shouldn't complain about the sunshine!

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and we would like to see your cute Christmas projects using two or more patterned papers.

I found my stamped image half coloured in a drawer so decided to finish it off.  I had done a bit of masking to get the tree in the background and finished colouring it with copics.  My papers are from a Bo Bunny christmas pad and I've added a memory box star and LOTV sentiment.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I hope you can join us this time and make a start on your Christmas cards.

I would like to enter:

I would like to say thank you to Rachelle for becoming my latest follower and I hope you enjoy seeing my makes.

Have a good week all.

DIGI OR STAMPED?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and we would like to see a project using your preference of either digi or stamped images (and don't forget to say why please).

I love both for different reasons, but for my DT card I have used a stamped image.  This was because I wanted to have another play with my Zig clean colour brush pens, which are water based, and I wanted to heat emboss the image before colouring.

I have used Simon Says Stamp Sketched Flowers which I bought for a bargain price from a lady on a Facebook group. I heat embossed in gold and then used various colours for the flowers.  I don't have a lot of the pens so my choice was a bit limited, but I am happy with the result.  I also heat embossed the sentiment which is from a magazine freebie stamp set.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I hope you will be able to join in with us on the challenge.

IT'S A GIRL!

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  The weather here has been lovely.

I made this card recently for my sister in law as they weren't letting on whether she was expecting  a boy or a girl.  I already had a little girl card in my stock box, but I needed one of each just in case.

As you can tell from the title, it was a little girl, both Mum and baby doing well.

I cut the card base out with a Dutch Doobadoo bottle shaped stencil and decorated with a cute baby image from LOTV, which I had coloured with copics.  The papers are from a Carta Bella baby pad and the little chipboard babygro is from Make It Crafty.

Most of the papers, apart from the main bottle shape, were snippets so I will be entering this into Pixie's Snippets Playground.

I would like to enter:

Thank you for visiting and have a good week.

JUST BEE-CAUSE...

Good Morning Everyone,

I've made this card after seeing a sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.  I've used the Cute Bugaboo Bee  01 from Bugaboo and coloured with copics.

I've used a snippet of yellow paper for the top and black card for the mats.  I've added sparkle to the wings with a sparkle pen and a stitched yellow ribbon in a double bow.  This is the sketch:

CREATE A SCENE OR NOT?

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for another challenge at As You Like It and the theme is "Create a Scene or Not?".

I don't create scenes on my cards very often as I find them quite difficult, especially the sky.  I definitely need more practice, so for this challenge I am a "not" and have used a little bunny image from LOTV.  I coloured with copics and used a die cut frame from Craft Consortium.  The papers are from a First Edition pad and the sentiment has been stamped in metallic silver.

If you pop over to the challenge here there are some fabulous cards on show from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter:

2 Crafty Critter Crazies - Anything with a Critter
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

I hope you have a good weekend whatever you may be doing and thank you for visiting and hopefully leaving a comment.

CHRISTMAS BELLS

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you have had a good weekend in all the lovely weather we've been having here lately.

It is time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas challenge and the theme this month is Christmas Bells.

For my card I've used two Dee's Distinctively dies.  Both layers have been cut from snippets, one in a cream colour, which I've added a bit of shading to, and the top layer from gold mirri card.  I've layered them onto another snippet of christmas paper which has holly all over it, but not very visible in the photo.  The fern die cuts are from a Sizzix Tim Holtz set (also snippets) and I've embossed the sentiment in gold and this is from Penny Black.

I would like to enter:

Pixie's Snippets Playground - Use snippets (mainly all snippets apart from the two bottom layers)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - Anything Christmas
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Christmas Craft Creations - Use a Die Cut

I can't believe it's June already, even with lockdown time seems to go so fast. Whatever you are doing this week, have a good one and stay safe.
