BIRTHDAY CHICKS

Good Morning All,

I'm back with a card made just for fun.  I happened to see the sketch on MFT stamps challenge the other day and thought I'd have a go.  This is my card:

and this is the sketch

I've had these Birthday Chicks for quite a while and this is their first time seeing ink.  I cut the letters twice, once in thick white card and once with snippets of patterned paper.  After sticking these together, I placed them on the card and stamped the chicks where I wanted them to be.  I stamped the chicks again on another piece of colouring card, coloured with copics,  and fussy cut them out.  I didn't cut round their feet and tassels as they were too fiddly, but when I stuck them onto the card they matched up well.

The sentiment is from the same set and I've added some sparklies in matching colours.

I would like to enter:

MFT Weds Sketch 482
Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes

At the moment the sun is shining so I will be doing a bit of gardening again today.  I hope you can find something nice to do too.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I will be back again tomorrow.

MARCH RUDOLPH DAYS

Good Morning Everyone,

A quick post from me with my March Rudolph Days entry.

I have used an image from an old LOTV die cut sheet where they had different sized images.  This is one of the smaller ones and the card is 5".  I have rounded the corners of the image and it's mat and used a LOTV sentiment in metallic silver, which hasn't come out very well on the photo because of the light.  I glued them onto a hammered stitched square die cut and red mat with red dotty ribbon for decoration.

A really simple card, but I do need to use up some of my ready coloured images.

I would like to enter:

March Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Merry Little Christmas - Anything Christmas Goes

Thank you for visiting and stay safe.

BUTTONS OR PEARLS?

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at As You Like It.  I can't believe how fast those two weeks have gone.

For this challenge we would like to see a project containing your favourite of either buttons or pearls (and don't forget to tell us why please).  I sometimes use buttons but more often pearls.  I think they add an elegant touch to cards and, in particular, to the style I have made for my DT card.

This is a 7" card and I think the papers are Pion Design.  I have distressed the edges, used various dies and added pretty flowers, pearls and butterflies.

I hope you will be able to join in and also pop over to the challenge to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter:

Crafty Gals Corner - Use Flowers
Creative Craft Cottage - For the Girls
Dragonfly Dreams - Make It Feminine
Creations in Pink - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Pixies Snippets Playground - Snippets used were the sentiment, tassels, leaves and butterfly dies
All Fun Challenges - Anything Goes

Although we are at home more now I haven't had a lot of crafting time.   Due to the sunny days we've had I've been tidying up the garden.  I'm sure it will be getting cold again this weekend and then I'll hopefully be back in the craft room. :) .

Have a good weekend all and stay safe.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are keeping safe and well in these uncertain times.

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is "White Christmas".

For my card I have used "Snowman and Friends" from our lovely sponsors, Polkadoodles.  I have coloured the image with copics and added snow by way of a stencil and texture paste.  The sentiment has been heat embossed in silver and is from a Creative Expressions sentiment set.

I hope you can join us and make a start on your Christmas cards.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Allsorts -  Anything in the Animal Kingdom
Creative Moments 187 - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - Anything Christmas
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles Craft - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Whatever the Weather

The weather seems as though it may improve slightly this week so I am planning on doing some gardening.  I'm just pleased I have a few hobbies to keep me going whilst having to stay at home more.

Thank you for visiting and have a good week.

EASTER OR SPRING?

Good Morning All,

it is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and for this fortnight the theme is Easter or Spring, which is your favourite?

I don't make Easter cards at all so I have chosen Spring.  I do love it when all the Spring flowers start appearing in the garden and we start to have longer days.

For my card I have used a LOTV image, coloured with copics, and die cut a Sizzix Hello die about 3 times for a bit of depth.  The papers, together with the pale blue scalloped border,  are LOTV snippets.

The sponsor for the challenge is:

I hope you will be able to join in and you can pop over to the challenge to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Use Some Green

HIGH HEELS NO. 2

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  I am sharing a birthday card today for a lady who often wears high heeled shoes and, from what I gather, has quite a few of them.

This a a C6 size card so quite big.  I have stamped the Inkylicious shoe onto a piece of white card and then stamped onto a piece of patterned paper so I could paper piece part of it.  I coloured the inside of the shoe with a grey marker and stuck the dotted paper onto the rest of the shoe.  I have added scalloped die cuts top and bottom and the die cut flowers are from Sara Davies.  The paper is from an Authentique pad.

Since taking the photo I have added 3 little enamel dots under the shoe sentiment.  I just had to take the photo before the light went and my dots were still wet!

I would like to enter challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Dream Valley - For Girls Only
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Something Feminine
Creations in Pink - Anything Goes Mainly in Pink
Dragonfly Dreams - Make It Feminine
Creative Craft Cottage - For the Girls
Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper - Use Patterned Paper

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I will be back on Thursday.
