Silver Christmas

Good Morning Everyone,

My second card this week is similar to my last gold tree card.   I made a silver one at the same time as I knew the July Rudolph days challenge would be coming up and this is it.

I've heat embossed the Stampin Up tree and sentiment in silver and used silver mirri card for the mats.  The large sparkly ribbon was a bit too thick for me to manage a bow, but it will make a good card for posting. There are also 3 little sparklies in each corner and  I think the paper is from First Edition, but not sure.

I would like to enter these challenges:

July Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas
Crimbo Crackers #189 - Anything Christmas
Dream Valley #206 - Christmas in July
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and I love it when you leave a comment.

Have a good week,

Hippo Bird-Day

Good Morning Everyone,

I've had a little play whilst it's been wet and rainy and thought I'd enter another sketch challenge.

This is the card I've made based on this sketch:

I've used MFT Happy Hippos stamp set and am pleased to say I've used lots of snippets so I can enter into Pixies Snippets Playground.   The hippo, birds and banner (which looks a bit wonky on the photo, but isn't irl) were all from snippets of copic paper and both lots of backing paper were also found in my snippets boxes.  Everything that needed to be was coloured with copics and then fussy cut.  I stamped the balloons where they were going to be on the paper and then glued the fussy cut ones on top so I didn't have to actually cut out the strings.

Other dies used were Lawn Fawn hillside borders, cloud outlines and the banner.

I would like to enter:

Di's DigiDesign - Things with wings or tail
Penny's Paper Crafty 440 - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to visit and have a lovely week.

GOING GREEN

Good Morning All,

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme is "Going Green".

The lovely sponsor, Polkadoodles, has provided the team with images and this is my card using Rudolph. I have coloured him with copics and framed him with papers from Lili of the Valley.  The sentiment has been heat embossed in silver and is from a Wild Rose Studio set.  I've added glossy accents to his nose, but it's not very clear on photo.

If you'd like to join in the challenge please make it to go along with the theme and, of course, cute and a Christmas project.  There will be a prize for the winner from Polkadoodles.

We are also having a DT call so if you like making Christmas projects and cute images you can pop over here to see the details.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Cute n Crafty - Christmas in July
CCC Digi Creations - Christmas in July
Polkadoodles wk 29 - Anything Goes
Di's Digi challenge - Christmas in July
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - Anything Christmas
Crafty Gals Corner  #196 - Christmas in July

Thank you for visiting and have a lovely week.

Bird or Beast at As You Like It

Good Morning Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and this time we would like to know whether Birds or Beasts are your favourites (and don't forget to say why please).

I like them both, but I have a lot more cute beasts than I do birds and as I like cute I have gone for beasts.

I have made a birthday card for my niece with the the Unforgettable stamp set from WPlus9.  She is a very young 50 and DJ's in her spare time and I knew she was having an all day party so I thought the sentiment was rather apt.

This was the first time I've used my Zig Clean Colour brush markers so the colouring may be a bit ropey, but I think I like them.  The sentiment circle is from MFT and I cut it out of the main card and turned it.  I cut the little Elephants out with their corresponding dies. I've had these for ages and this is the first time they've seen the light of day.  I'm certainly trying to use some of my unused stash.

We are sponsored by:

with a prize for the lucky winner

I would like to enter these challenges:

Creatalicious #167 - Anything Goes/Bright & Fun

Super Heroes

Hello Everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend.  I've just finished watching the epic Wimbledon final and need to get my card shared.  It's a little different from what I normally make, but I thought I'd have a go  in a sketch challenge for a change.

This is the sketch I've followed:

I've used Caped Cuties from Clearly Besotted, coloured them with copics and fussy cut them out.  The background paper is from The Works and I've added die cut and punched stars.  The paper in the cut out at the top was from a snippet which seemed to work perfectly for the moon. The sentiment is heat embossed and comes with the stamp set and I've also added a glitter pen to the large stars.

I hope you like it, I quite enjoyed making something a little bit different for me.

I would like to enter:

Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Let's Craft & Create 149 - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Bingo + a Sentiment (Pattern Paper, Embossing, Die Cut)

Have a good week and thank you for visiting.

Silver Wedding

Good Morning All,

I have a quick and simple card to share today for a Silver Wedding Anniversary.

I've used a Stampin Up Bloomin Heart die cut out of hammered card and used a scrap of silver sheen card underneath.  The flowers which also come with the die were also cut from scraps, together with the numbers.  I've used a LOTV sentiment and added, ribbon, pearls and sparklies to finish it off.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Pixies Snippets Playground - Use snippets
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Add a Number
Crafty Catz #470 - Anything Goes
Get Creative #82 - Anything Goes/Monochromatic
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes
Ally's Angels - Anything Goes

I hope you have a good weekend.  It's a free one for me so should think I'll be watching the tennis and crafting hopefully.

SOMETHING FOR BABY AT AYLI

Good Morning All,

It is time for a new challenge at As You Like It and for this fortnight the theme is "Something for Baby" so we would like to see your favourite projects for babies (and don't forget to say why please).

The only thing I make for babies is cards and I do try to make them a different shape from my normal square cards as it is such a special occasion for the parents and I should think most save them as keepsakes.

For my DT card I have tried the Dutch Doobadoo bottle shaped stencil.  I must admit I didn't find it easy as I don't like fussy cutting. The straight bits were ok, it was the curves etc that I struggled with.

I used a cute image from Digistamp Boutique and coloured with copics.  This was also a problem in that my pens didn't seem to like being used in the hot weather.  Two of them let out an ink blob on the image, but I just about managed to save the second one and a couple of pens seemed to be sticky too!

The papers are from a Carta Bella pad called Baby Mine and embellishments added are Memory Box baby ducks, a die cut flower shaped button, a chipboard word from Make It Crafty and a little string of pearls.  I've also used glitter glue on the bubbles.

The sponsor for the challenge is Crafty Ribbons, so a lovely prize for the lucky winner.

I hope you like my make and I would like to enter these challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Colour Crazy Challenge wk 25 - Anything Goes
Crafting by Design - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Crafty Friends - Things Beginning with B (Bear, Baby, Bubbles, Bottle)
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

That's all for now. I hope you have a lovely weekend,

INCLUDE A TREE

Good Morning Everyone,

It's the start of a new month so time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month we would like your Christmas project to include a tree.

For my DT card I thought I would use my Stampin Up Snow Swirled tree again.  I have heat embossed it in gold, together with the star (which I think is really a snowflake) and the sentiment.

I did have a bit of trouble with the photo as the colour of the black paper didn't seem to come out right, but it's not too bad now.  The paper has tiny sparkly flecky bits on and it looks so pretty in real life.  I've added some gorgeous gold sparkly ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and matted the layers onto gold sheen card.

I hope you can join in this month and for more inspiration from the rest of the team you can pop over to the blog here.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Anything Goes
Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting. Have a good week and I will be back on Thursday.
