ADD SOME SPARKLE - CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES DT

Good Morning Everyone,

I've hope you've had a good weekend and the heat is not bothering you too much.

It's time for a new challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and and theme this time is 'Add Some Sparkle' to your cute and christmassy projects.

This is my inspiration card using a CC Designs digi stamp which I've coloured with copics and then fussy cut to stick onto the card.  The background is a Marianne Design stamp and all the white snow on the trees has been glittered.  I've also added some green glitter around the edges of the bottom layer by means of double sided tape.  I thought it was a good opportunity to use a coloured glitter as I have a full pack of different colours and only ever use the white!  I've also put stickles on some of the slopes so the card is really quite sparkly but, as usual, you can't see it very well in the photo.

I hope you can join us for the challenge and if you'd like to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT you can pop over to the challenge here.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Penny's Paper Crafty #389 - Anything Goes
Creative Craft Cottage - Most Wonderful Time of the Year (Christmas - just love making cards for it)
Hiding in My Craft Room - Christmas in July
Southern Girls - Tic tac toe (Diagonal line - white, stamp, ink)
Papercraft Challenges - Christmas in July
Crafty Gals Corner -  Christmas in July

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I do hope you can leave a comment as I love to read them.

AYLI DT - BUTTONS OR RIBBON?

Morning Everyone,

It is time for another challenge over at As You Like It and for this fortnight we would like you to show us a project featuring your favour of either buttons for ribbon (and don't forget to say why please).

This is my card made with a Stamping Bella image and coloured with copics.   As you can see I've made an easel card for a change, but I had a job taking a decent photo so opted for two to give you a closer look at the image.  My daughter likes to keep her garden looking nice so I thought this image would be ideal for her.

I don't have many buttons and hardly ever use them, but ribbon does feature quite a lot on my cards.  I think it adds a feminine touch and an extra bit of interest when you're struggling with embellishments.

It seemed to take me ages to make the card, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. I placed a piece of foam tape in the middle as a stopper and hid it with the flowers.  I know the card won't lie flat when closed, but it's going in a box so it won't matter.

The sponsor for the challenge is Crafty Ribbons with a £10 voucher for the lucky winner and if you'd like to pop over here you'll be able to see the lovely inspiration from the rest of the DT.

I've used dies from Go Kreate, Creative Expressions (stitched banners), Magnolia (lace edge) and Simon Says Stamp (Butterfly).  The paper is from First Editions Mulberry Kisses pad and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Brown Sugar Challenge - Include 2 patterned papers
The Sketchy Challenges - Anything Goes
Stamping Sensations - In My Garden
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Totally Girly
Simon Says Stamp Weds - Use a Die/punch

Thank you for visiting and I hope you can find time to leave a comment as I love to read them.

Have a good weekend,

Lynne x

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE CELEBRATION

Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at As You Like It and the time for the next fortnight is to showcase a project featuring your celebration (and we must know why it's your favourite please).

I like to make birthday cards that are personal to friends and family, but my favourites to make are Christmas cards. I just love adding all the glitter and stickles and seeing them all shiny and sparkly. I know this doesn't always show up in photos,  as with my card, but they do look tons better in real life.

For my card I've used an old LOTV stamp and coloured her with copics and added the aforementioned glitter to her hat, pearl drops to the snow and fun flock for her coat and pom pom.  The sentiment is from Digistamp boutique and the flowers are a variety of berries, flowers and chipboard holly.  The striped ribbon is quite sparkly too :).

The sponsor for the challenge is

with a voucher for the lucky winner

I hope you can join us and if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see the inspiration from the DT.

CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS

Morning Everyone,

It's the 1st of the month so time for another challenge over at Sparkles Christmas and the theme for this month is Christmas Stockings.

This is my DT make for the challenge using a cute image from Di's Digi Designs.

I have coloured with copics and cut out with a Crealies mini scalloped square.  I didn't have any blue paper to match so I coloured around the edge of a die cut stitched square with a blue pen.  The image itself is quite busy so I decided not to use any patterned paper, but settled on a a snowflake embossing folder and some lovely ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to finish it off.

I hope you like and if you wish to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT you can pop over here.

I would like to enter these challenges:

Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Di's Digi Designs - Try something new (my image - hope that counts)

It looks like it's going to be another scorcher today.  I went out in the garden earlier and there doesn't seem to be any breeze at all so it'll be a late dog walk again today, probably about 9 p.m. tonight!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you can leave a comment as I do love to read them.
