CWTCUTIES - SNUGGLY BEARS

Morning Everyone,

I hope you're having a lovely weekend in this beautiful weather.  We had a really heavy downpour on Saturday and I ended up having to mop the floor in the conservatory.  It came down so quickly and heavily it came through the windows that had been open, but the sun's back now.

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas with the Cuties and this month the theme is "Snuggly Bears" so we'd love to see your projects following that theme as long as it is cute and a Christmassy.

This is the card I've made featuring an old LOTV stamp. I'm not sure what the robin's telling them, but it looks interesting!  I've coloured with Copics and used my Lawn Fawn puffy clouds border and stitched squares die.  Glitter has been added to their hats and the snow and the sentiment, which is from a Woodware set, is stamped in silver metallic ink.  I've also added a few drops of liquid pearls here and there.

BOTANICAL NOTES

Morning Everyone,

Yay!  I have two new followers! I didn't think I would ever get anymore.  Welcome Sharon and Amy and thank you for joining me.  I hope you enjoy seeing my future makes.

When I saw the photo inspiration challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts I thought this stamp would be ideal to suit the colours.  It is a PB stamp called Botanical Notes coloured with copics. I had a bit of a pen disaster with the top flower so it's turned out a bit darker than I wanted, but I still like the overall finish.

To cut a long story short, I had left the top off one of my pens overnight by mistake and after refilling it, I think because the nib had dried out too much and I tried to use the pen too quickly, a blob of ink went onto my image.  Luckily it didn't go out of the lines and it was the correct colour, so when it dried I had to go over it again.

I cut the image out with a stitched square die and the sentiment with a spellbinders oval and used dark brown card and a piece of dp from an old LOTV pad.

I hope you like it and I would like to enter the following challenges:

Penny Black at Allsorts - Photo Inspiration
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Happy Birthday
Country View Crafts - Flower Power

Thank you for visiting and I really appreciate any comments you leave.

I hope the rest of the week is good for you.

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE SKIN/FUR COLOUR COMBO

Morning Everyone,

I hope today's going to be a bit better weather than yesterday.  It rained non-stop here all day.

It's time for another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project showing your favourite skin/fur colour combination is which ever colouring medium you use (and don't forget to let us know why it's your favourite).

For my card I've used an old LOTV stamp coloured with copics and the fur is done with E30, E31 and E34.  I use these as I find them easy to blend and they are not too light, not too dark, in fact just right (for me anyway).  I've also used a Stamping Up Edgelit for the green paper which has also been embossed, stitched square, rectangle and banner dies.  The sentiment comes with the the stamp.

I was quite pleased with the way this came out, but wish I'd coloured the butterfly orange instead of blue, too late now, but never mind.

This challenge is sponsored by

with a prize of 3 digi stamps voucher worth £6.75

WRYN BLOOMS

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well.   It's a lovely day here today with the sun fully out, a welcome change from the chilly ones we've had lately.   I felt like a change to what I've been making recently so I've gone for a shaped card, although it's still rectangular I suppose, but with fancy bits :) .

I've used Tiddly Inks Wryn Blooms and coloured her with Copics and layered her onto my fancy die cut card, which is a Go Kreate die.  I've inked the edges of the papers in lilac and added a double bow and a tiny bit of lace.  There's also a die cut butterfly on there and a small Spellbinders label die for the sentiment.  I quite like the lilac and pale blue together.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks - Blooming beautiful
The Ribbon Girl - Any Card
Creative Inspirations - Blooms & bows
Deep Ocean - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Flowers

Thank you for visiting and I love to read any comments you leave.

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE DIE

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite die (and don't forget to let us know why it is your favourite).

My favourite dies are my stitched edge dies because they give a more finished look rather than a plain edge.  My most favourite are my Crealies stitched squares. There are 12 different sizes in the set and I use them a lot.

To showcase this I've made an inchies card with some of my neglected Stampin Up stamps all stamped in Blushing Bride pink.  A sentiment didn't look right anywhere (I often seem to have trouble finding a place for one) so I've left it without, but it could be used for a number of occasions I think. A few pearls and a little diecut butterfly finish it off.

The sponsor of this challenge is

with a wonderful prize of a stamp set and 6" x 6" paper pad of the winner's choice

So if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here you'll be able to see more of the Design Team's favourite dies.

SUMMER GIRL

Hi Everyone,

I have a card to share with you that has been made quite a while, but hasn't been on my blog yet, so I thought I'd better get it on.

I was practicing hair colouring when I started the image and was quite pleased with how this came out, so I carried on and made the card for my sister-in-law.  It is LOTV Summer Girl and I've also used LOTV paper from Nitwit Collections.  A heart shaped doily, a few pearls and lilac ribbon add the finishing touches.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you like and I would like to enter the following challenges:

Addicted-To-Stamps - Flowers & butterflies
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Glitter n Sparkle - Flower Power
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Country View Challenges - Flower Power

Thank you for taking the time to visit and I do love to ready any comments you leave.

Have a good week,
