CRAFTING BY DESIGNS - GDT

Morning Everyone,

As a result of being one of the design team favourites on Crafting by Designs recently, I was invited to be a Guest Designer for their latest challenge "Get Ready for Christmas" and this is the card I have made.

I used a LOTV image, I think it's called Pretty Poinsettia, coloured it with copics and added lots of glitter and stickles to her hat and snow. I cut the image out with a Die-namics Mini stitched scalloped circle and the papers are from First Edition Christmas Wishes.  I didn't add a sentiment as I couldn't find a suitable place to add one and also didn't want to cover the pretty glittery papers either!

This is my 3rd christmas card in a row so my little pile is gradually growing :).

If you'd like to pop over to the the challenge here you will be able to see the projects from the Design Team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

April Rudolph Days - Anything Goes
Cards Galore - Anything Goes
Ribbon Girl - Use Any Image

Thank you for visiting and I do love to read any comments you may wish to leave.

CWTCUTIES DT - ADD SOME HOLLY

Morning Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and this month the theme is "Add Some Holly" so we'd love to see your creations following that theme, as long as they are cute and christmassy.

We are sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter who have kindly supplied the team with images and this is my card:

I've made a rectangular card for a change and coloured the image with copics.  I've used a gold sheen card and the green paper is from Craft Creations.  A shiny sheer ribbon and some chipboard holly which has green frantage added to it and that's it!

So if you pop over to the challenge here, you'll be able to see the other projects made by the rest of the design team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Dis Digi Designs - Use Something Digital (image)

Thank you for visiting and I really do appreciate any comments you may leave.

Have a good week,

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE COLOUR

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project in your favourite colour (mainly one but you can use others).  Don't forget to let us know why it is your favourite.

My favourite always used to be blue but I've graduated onto lilacs and purples.  I think it's because I associate blue with being cold and purple shades seem to be softer and warmer.

When I saw a card using this image I really liked it and on the Art by Miran website there was a card made totally in pink, so when I saw this challenge coming up I thought it was an ideal time to try it in my fave colour.

I've coloured it in Copics and the papers are Nitwit collections.  All I've added are 3 die cut snowflakes, crispy ribbon and pearls.  The sentiment is from LOTV. The image has also been covered in quite a bit of glitter and stickles on the snowflakes.

The lucky winner of the challenge will receive a £12 gift voucher from:

So, if you'd like to pop over to the challenge here, you'll be able to see the lovely projects from the rest of the DT.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

The Ribbon Girl - Use any image
A Gem of a Challenge - Ribbon and or lace
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Inky Chicks - Use Purple

Thank you for visiting and I appreciate any comments you leave.  I love to read them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Morning Everyone

This is a small 5" square card to top up my card box - I need to make a few more general birthday cards especially flatter ones for posting.

It's an image from a LOTV trio coloured with Copics.  I've only put one dp on there as, with the card being small, I didn't want to cover it up as it's quite pretty.  Some silver sheen card, a martha stewart punch, 2 little flag labels, ribbon, a bit of glitter on the parcels and a LOTV sentiment finish it off.  I love these little trio sets.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Friends - Animals or Birds
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Happy Birthday
Crafty Addicts - Anything Goes/Add a Sentiment
The Ribbon Girl - Any card
Dream Valley - 4 legged friends

Thank you for visiting and I really do appreciate it when you leave a comment.

AYLI DT - FAVOURITE SHAPE OF CARDBASE

Morning Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at As You Like It and this fortnight's theme is to showcase a project using your favourite shape of cardbase.  This can be a square, but you must explain why it's your fave.

I nearly always use square cards, usually sometimes 6" but for more special cards I use a 7" square.  I find square cards a lot easier to work with and can place embellishments more easily.  I also like things to look symmetrical, but I must say this has made me realise I should be more adventurous with my shapes - so watch this space I might go mad and make a different one!

This was made for my sister-in-law's 50th.  I made the 50 as small and discreet as possible because I don't think she likes being that age, but I just had to put it somewhere :) .  As you can see I've used a chipboard window frame, which I painted, a small lace butterfly and a doily.  The papers are from a First Edition christmas pad called Gilded Winter and the lovely pearl and gem embellies in the bottom left corner are from a Crafteezee collection from Noor Design.  I stamped the sentiment in gold metallic onto vellum as I think that goes well with this type of card.  The photo seems to have made the window look crooked but I can say it is definitely straight.

The sponsor of this challenge is

with a $10.00 gift voucher for the winner.

If you'd like to pop over to As You Like It here you'll be able to see the rest of the projects made by my lovely team mates.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Ribbon Girl - any Card
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Embellish It
Noor Design - Flowers
Creatalicious #112 - Add Flowers

Thank you for visiting and I love to read any comments you may wish to leave.

SPRING MICE

Hi Everyone

I have a birthday card for you today featuring the cute mice from Di's Digi Downloads.  This one's called Spring Blossom Mice which I coloured with Copics.

I printed it slightly bigger than normal so placed it onto a rectangular card base.  I'm never quite sure whether to make the mice brown or grey, but as you can see opted for brown this time. I have die cut 3 small butterflies from Cheery Lynn as embellishments, distressed the edges of the papers and added some twine, a little bow and a tag from Mama Elephant.

I hope you like and I would like to enter the following challenges:

In the Pink - Flower Power
Dis Digi Designs - Add texture
CCC Digi Creations - Include an Animal
Squirrels NSRC - Spring Fever
Dream Valley - Our 4 legged Friends
A Gem of a Challenge - Furry Friends

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments, they are much appreciated.
