NEW BABY

Hi Everyone

Something of a change from christmas cards today.  My daughter will soon be in need of a new baby card for a friend and as they know it's a girl I thought I'd make a pretty pink one.

I've used a pre-coloured LOTV image as I bought quite a few when I started crafting and need to use some up. The lacy doily die is from Joy Crafts, the flowers from Noor Design and WOC and the sentiment tags from LOTV.

I enjoyed making this and am pleased with the way it turned out.  Maybe go onto birthday cards next as I think I've overdone it with christmas ones, we'll see.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Noor Design - Flowers and lace
In the Pink - Photo inspiration
Ribbon Girl - Any image
Fab n Funky - Ribbon/lace
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting.  I always love reading your encouraging comments.

SINGING MICE

Hi Everyone

I hope you have had a good weekend.  The weather was not so good here yesterday so I managed to finish another Christmas card, sweet little singing Penny black mice which I recently purchased on Ebay.

I've coloured them with copics and added liquid pearls and glitter.  The frame is called Frosted frame from Apple Blossom, but I can't remember the make of the snowflake die I'm afraid. Pearls and ribbon were added to finish off and also some wink of stella on the frame.  The colours haven't come out that well on the photo, but it does look a lot nicer in real life.  I haven't added a sentiment as I didn't have one that looked right wherever I placed it.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Challenge - Pearls
Winter Wonderland - Christmas dies
Christmas at Sweet Stampin - Christmas die cuts
ATSM - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, I love reading your comments and they are much appreciated.

CHARLIE

Morning Everyone

I've been messing around with this card for goodness knows how long.  Firstly, I'd put it together with the sketch that I'd chosen and didn't like it, then I thought the papers looked too dark, then I'd over inked the edges and had to cut the image down, it was never ending!

The reason I didn't throw it in the bin was because the little dog looks just one of ours, Charlie, so I wanted to finish it off.  After the addition of the striped paper and the little poinsettias I thought it looked a bit brighter so it was saved and I'm quite pleased with it now.

The image and sentiment tags are LOTV and the poinsettia die I think is from Poppystamps.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - Lots of Layers
Crafty hazelnuts CC Extra - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion 329 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, I always love reading your comments and encouraging words.

CUTE PENGUINS

Morning Everyone,

I thought I'd pop yet another christmas card in today.  I was inspired by the following sketch on The Sketchy Challenges blog.

It is a pre-coloured LOTV image, but I have added some glitter, liquid pearls and a little bit more colouring to the penguins' feet.

I inked round the edge of the image, but decided I didn't like it so I glittered them instead, but you can't see it very well. I distressed the edges of the papers which is LOTV,  sewed round the edge with my machine and cut 2 Memory box stars from glitter paper and also punched a couple of snowflakes, which are also glittered.

That's two cards in two days! I'll have to go and think about my next one now, perhaps it might be another christmas card, just for a change :) .

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - Cute Christmas Characters
Ribbon Girl - Card
Paper Creator - Christmas
Squirrel's NSRC - Anything Goes

CHRISTMAS TREES

Hi Everyone

Another christmas card from me.  This is another first for me, this time with the emboss resist technique.  I heat embossed a rather large christmas tree stamp from Woodware in white and then inked the paper with a mixture of greens and yellows in distress and stampin up ink.   It wasn't my first attempt at it by the way, but I was more pleased with this one so I added a few little gold stars and also the sentiment from the set was heat embossed in gold and matted it onto some matching green paper.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

The Paper Shelter 263 - Embossing of any kind
Paper Creator - Christmas
Craftyhazelnut CCExtra - Anything Goes
Penny Black at Allsorts - Add a Sentiment
SSS Weds Challenge - Stamp It

Thank you for visiting, it is really appreciated and I do enjoy reading your comments.
